Just been to the barbers (Short back and sides for those interested) and my barber (Lovely chap, not one for making up things) said that his mate who had organised a charity do at the Ricoh on one of the first Saturdays in September (We have home games on the 6th and 13th, both Saturdays) has been told he may have to move his event to the Sunday.

No reason was given for this

Oooooooooooo

Let the debate commence

*Rules of Thread*

Don't let this turn into a SISU/Sixfields/CarlBakerDay argument

Are we meant to be debating whether the event will be moved, or whether CCFC will move back to the Ricoh, because...

breaking news....Tim Fisher discusses interim rent deal at the Ricoh at CCLSC forum:

"There is a sense that a deal can be done and any perceived stumbling blocks can be overcome. If it was the will to do a deal then it was 100%/0% but skewed logic and local politics meant that the likelihood of achievement is reduced to say 70%/30%. The Club is looking beyond recent relationship challenges and be working hard to agree a deal with the Council and ACL for the overall betterment of Coventry City Football Club”

You say that though but who did ACL make their last offer to...............?

Yup that's right both sides are just the same as one another and you'd like to think that the Football League would grow a pair and do something about it.

Do you mean Bradwell or Tim Fisher?

No - Tim says that the judgement was so damning in several areas that it can't be allowed to go unchallenged. And also that the club has no control over it somehow - can't understand his argument here but he is trying to say that it's not up to SISU/CCFC if they appeal or not, which sounds like a load of rubbish to me

not trying to get anyone's hopes up,in my opinion its more like 50/50 as sisu dont intend to give an inch on anything,so it will be down to acl/ccc to accecpt or not

So Fisher says both sides need to accept that situation is over yet they will be appealing. How can ACL accept the situation is over if SISU are still dragging them to court again?

I don't understand the logic of we lost so badly we have to appeal. Doesn't an appeal make more sense if its a close call and there's a chance the verdict might change. The best outcome for SISU here seems a slightly less damming verdict, how will that help anyone?

Have to assume when he says it's not the clubs decisions he is saying it is SISU / Sepalla who are insisting on continuing, nothing else makes sense as who else has any say?

I suppose all the Club can do is give the offer to ACL/CCC or the Football League and allow ACL to make the choice of whether they accept it or not.

FL gits after every-way in which they have failed us. They could have redeemed a lot of credit by calling an EM a week earlier

I couldn't agree anymore with that, the Football League have the power right now to get City home.. Hopefully they'll make the right calls.!

I think you're right - don't forget that SISU have many other business interests and do scare people by the threat of being "battered in court"... they have their reputation to think of, so they can't just take a hiding with at least making a show of protest about it. Politics, man.

what was the date of the FL meeting when they were going to make a decision on the £590K, can't be far off now.

If the Football League are smart they will rule that the Club owe the full sum of £590,000 that way discussions can begin in a positive manner.
