Forgot about the save their keeper made from Kelly first half to add to his others! He nearly got the pen too!

The cross from sterling and Baka moving onto it was a decent goal. We have missed people attacking the ball in the box!

When was the last time we scored from a cross in open play and a header before today?

Might have been Chaplin when sterling ran all the way down the pitch?

We should have had plenty, JCH has missed some absolute sitters in the air this season.

True though their entire team was encroaching so we'd have had it retaken anyway.

The best thing about it, his second touch was the cross. Most of the times mason got the ball in a similar position on the left he either stopped, cut back in, or tried to dribble it to the byline rather than getting trying to get an early ball in.

To be fair, they both kicked him around after that and he didn't want it

I was hoping he would wipe one of them out

It was nice for all of us to celebrate 3 goals in 1 game, normally about 2 month for that tally

Our 2nd goal. Surely people are joking when they say hiwula fouled him? I was right in front of it, their defender shat himself. He knew jordy had the legs on him and kept looking around to block him off then fell over

I’ve watched it back a few times and am still not sure he touched him but the modern footballer tends to fall over when they are not sure what to do

I think Hiwula clips his heel but my initial thought was that the referee let it go as he was trying to block him off when he knew he wasn’t getting the ball.

Didn't think he had at the time, it was nice to see a couple of goals at that end for a change.

Yes, really dont understand us attacking toward an empty stand in the second half, keep hoping every game we are gonna change ends before kick off, pretty sure we always tried to attack the West End 2nd half at HR, why we let opponents attack towards their own fans in the 2nd half i dont get or understand, should be the other way around.

Agree with you there, feel like if the opposition score in the 2nd half and can celebrate with their fans it gives them more of an edge. Could it be to do with sunlight or is the pitch in the shade all match?

I think you’re right, even if he does clip him it’s not necessarily a foul.

Every week we get these slow defenders blocking off our speedy players so if he did clip him some justice has been done

I was close to the incident and I'm sure there was slight contact, but Hiwula never deviated from running towards the ball, and the defender went across his path so only has himself to blame. I remember thinking at the time that the referee bizarrely hadn't even seen it - he either briefly looked away or was unsighted. Things happen so quickly it's hard to recall sometimes.

He didn't see a lot yesterday. Poor performance from the officials even going by the low standards we are used to. Thomas got thrown on the floor off the ball on more than one occasion. Did it back once as well - ref also missed that.

In front of the Linos as well? They didn't do anything but just stood there

It used to be because we were shooting towards the CET stand which actually had fans in it. Truth be told we should just bung the away fans in one of the corners, most L1 teams don’t bring enough to pack 1 out.
