In all fairness Walsall's pitch would not stand 46 home matches plus cup ties and their Chairman is quite switched on so I don't think he would touch SISU with a barge pole.

Could do with the Walsall fan who posts on here to get their fans to object to their club as well or if they have a Supporters Trust our SBT could contact them for support.

Agree about the pitch but we are having a new one laid right now with fibres in the soil to help it hold together better and a lot of work with harder wearing grass. Nice of Tim to pay for that.

Needn't worry, won't take me to get our lot to contact our club and object, they already are and our CEO is pretty good at talking to us now. Certainly reacted to the Fisher lies in the press pretty quickly with a statement back out denying them.

Is Roy Whalley still at the club as he always seemed of sound mind? Can't see him wanting to work with SISU.

Retired end of this season.

Made a couple of massive mistakes in terms of relations with fans a couple of years ago which for many will always blight his history. Banned 3 or 4 fans for daring to speak their opinion about things at the club and in doing so took on all the fans. This was while he was CEO. Told him he'd picked the one fight he couldn't win. Press coverage of stewards ripping down a massive freedom of speak banner was priceless. Stepped down to be commercial director and Stefan took over as CEO, bans lifted and club admitted it was a mistake.

It's a real shame because he will always be remembered for that when the amount of work he did for us and some of the good things he did for us were immense. This includes being a leading light in our fans campaign to fight a plan for us to ground share which we won.

You are right Roy would have wanted nothing to do with SISU unless our owner made him.

Considering what we are going through, would you really want to wish it on any other football fan and/or club!???

Walsall was a decent away game (except the result), they have a big supporters club next to ground, we were made to feel very welcome By the Yam Yams. One we will enjoy going to again.
