Never disliked Walker but confidence is now clearly in the toilet. Would do well if we could recoup any of our money at this moment. Everyone wins if he can find some form at Pompey.

I don’t think it’s that amazing. He was in and out of the side due to injuries and unlucky with not being picked etc…never thought he had a good run really. is also younger, and was top scorer last year.

I think if anyone is saying it now, it would be pretty amazing.

Following today´s theme, actions speak louder than words.

He was pretty uninspiring for me and Godden was smashing the goals in. It was a no brainer.

I don’t think many would disagree with you now. However, I think Walker could consider himself unlucky to have scored in back-to-Back games and then be dropped.

But would you have dropped Gyokeres or Godden for him, both of whom were scoring at that time?

Walker might well make it eventually as a Championship player, but the other two are clearly better in my view.

Its definitely worked out well.

I guess you could argue that pretty much sums up Walker’s luck with us - goes out on loan and his closest competition for a place is ruled out for weeks the following day.
