I’d take Harness in a swap deal all day. Would be good option to challenge with O Hare or wide options.

Swap deals rarely happen and they’re not a similar value anyway

Isn't that what an academy is for?

If that's the entire plan forever then it's basically admitting there's never any chance of success. There has to be, at some point, an intention to develop players and keep them to progress, boosted with the occasional acquisition of a first team player.

I expect us to develop and sell players, but whenever we do I at least hope the funds will allow us to bring in another couple so eventually we have a decent squad.

Ideally I'd like to see him replaced, I think it would limit our options especially if one of the strikers would suffer an injury or suspension

I am fine with Walker going, but only if we are going to sign an AM. We desperately need one, and we can make do without Walker if that was the case. Will be good for him to go somewhere else and get some game time anyway.

If Bidwell and an AM came in, but Walker went out, I would be pretty happy with that business.

How are we short an AM - Hamer, Sheaf, O'Hare? Allen there for cover.Who are you going to drop? Left back / let wing back was the big hole. I'd leave it at that and save the cash for summer to upgrade the back three.

Sheaf isn’t an attacking midfielder

You miss the point entirely, but hey ho. We have a midfield triangle of O'Hare behind the strikers, with Sheaf (who does get forward, see the Godden goal on Sat,) and Hamer as central midfield. If we play 1 striker, Allen bolsters the midfield. Just where is this AM going to go? If he is any good, it assumes we will only play with one striker as it would be a replacement for Allen. Allen would then become 'squad' . There is a case for that although it seems harsh, as Eccles is being lined up for the squad slot

I suspect Robins is reasonably happy with his attacking options at the moment even if Walker goes
Everyone is fit and he sees them in training daily

Not forgetting at the minute we still have Shipley and Jones that can come in

I think Walker has so much more to give. Reckon he needs to move on to rejuvenate his career, going nowhere fast being a bit part player for us.

This may come as a surprise, but you do need more than 14 players in a squad. I fully expect Allen will become no more than a squad player in the next 12 months, but there’s still space for both him and Eccles.

But it appears should he go it’s a loan, will do him good to get serious minutes under his skin and might benefit us if he does and comes up with a few goals.

Letting Walker go without bringing in a replacement seems a risky strategy. A repeat of last season where injuries left us with a half fit Biamou as our only forward option could leave us screwed.

think walker is a good player but just isn't suited to us. hopefully he does well and we can sell him for a bit in the summer.

Hamer and Sheaf don´t play as AM...

Currently we have O´Hare who couldn´t score in a brothel, and the other option, Allen, is a bit hit and miss.

That position needs more. Waste chances like we did on Saturday to that level and the outcome will not be the same against most teams.

That's assuming Robins doesn't go back to playing 1 up front with Allen and O'Hare just behind, like our league 1 and early championship days, we then have Shipley and Jones on the bench, not great I know

Think he's relatively happy with what we have now but wouldn't be surprised to see a loan come in if we get offered a young PL prospect

Looks a good move for Walker, hopefully he rips it up down there and either comes back to a first team place or moves on for more money.
