Good to move him on, high earner and well short for me.
Good finisher, gets in the right areas, but doesn’t look cut out for this level.

Will be interesting to see what happens I can’t see Robins allowing Walker to go unless he has something up his sleeve for our striker positions, leaving just three one Gyo, on a scoring drought another, Waghorn just recovering from long term injury and there’s the untried Taveres, bit risky.

Would not surprise me at all if Liam Walsh is back before the end of January.

If Walker does go out on loan, I’m not convinced we will recruit anyone else.
MR might have had a choice of no LWB or send one of the higher paid players out on loan.

No value in it, loans are a last resort for us, if we’ve not got anyone in by 31st we’d look to loanees but at the minute we’d be after permanent signings, and early 20s not mid, it’s all about development potential and resale value.

Where would he fit in though? backup to Hamer I guess. Can't see him leaving Swansea's bench to sit on our bench.

Unless its being done to bring someone else in, is it worth taking the risk? Pompey won't cover the full wages, so I can't see the upside.

Robins must have issues with him. Why he got dropped after the PNE game, I can't work out. Scoring in consecutive games then left on the bench and it took 8 games collectively to rack up his next 90 mins.

If Robins thinks its the right decision, then I'll go with it.

I think Robins is now happier going back to the box with 1 up front rather than the 2 up front that was planned at the start of the season and the reason we had 4 first team strikers on good money.

We cant afford to have 3 strikers on a 7 man bench while also keeping them all happy.

Not sure we can expect a number 10 in as well, think this will have partly funded the Bidwell signing. However, even if Walker and Shipley go out this window and we only sign Bidwell, we are stronger than we were at the start of Jan as none of the players leaving had any real game time.

If we are playing the box then we don't need another striker, we would need another AM though in my opinion.

Financially and for developing players and making a larger profit on them, it does.

I though there was one heck of a player in Walsh when he got up and running. He would be an excellent addition to the squad and raise the standard. He must be fit if his in the Swansea squad regularly.

We’ve made more money on the back of a successful league one campaign, than we have since, we sold £8M worth of players the summer following promotion, we’ve got nowhere near that in the following 7 transfer windows since combined. It’s far better for a players development to be in a team challenging at the top end of a league, than it is getting beat every week, it’s why teams loan players to teams lower down the league structure.

Walker is a divisive figure for sure. Good finisher, but a better finisher than Godden? I am not sure. He is quicker but is less physical, and won't take people on like Gyks. I'm happy with this, and give Tavarres a spot on the bench, with a few sub appearances to see if he is ready. All this talk of an AM, when we have Jodi Jones ready and primed, and O'Hare rarely gets injured. Would be a waste of a loan. Once McFadz and Kelly are back in the squad (probably this Saturday), and with Eccles back, I think we're pretty much covered for the season.

21mins, 45mins (his only start & hooked at half-time), 27mins & 14mins respectively, the last of which was in early November.

No doubting his ability but can't help but think we've dodged a bullet with him.

Manages Bromley South. Drives a Subaru Impreza, took home £85k last year and a part time share in Dubai.

Looks like Marquis has gone to Lincoln so Pompey need a striker.

I don’t understand why fans don’t like Walker, the guy gets goals.

However, if we did let him go and signed Jamie Paterson I’d see that as a great move.

We need another option in AM and we can survive with 3 strikers, that would be ideal

I think if Walker was played as the main man in this league, he'd probably do quite well goal wise. But in our team he's not forced himself as the main man and therefore is struggling. He'll need to get games, I imagine this is the beginning of the end for him at Coventry.
