Hi,

I'm sitting having a beer in Norfolk with my mate who's a Coventry City fan, I'm a Notts County fan BTW, and we got talking about the music teams walk out to.

He cannot remember the music from the 90's that Cov came out to and its doing his head in. Lol

Any ideas? I've tried to Google it but with no success.

Thanks in advance,
Bazza

Dont know then, there was a time we ran out to a really horrid instrumental version of The Sky Blue Song, apart from that its over to other forumites who may come up with your friends recollection.
Enjoy your beer.

There was a short period around 1996 where in the midst of a relegation battle I swear we came out to Search for the Hero by M People.

Nottingham County, used to hate you until we smashed you 4-1 at your place. Wish you all the best now.

Didn't we run out to Sandstorm by Darude for a bit in the 90s or was that played just before?

Watching West Ham, Leeds, Forest etc all coming out to a rendition of their anthem, I've always thought having a slowed version of Play Up Sky Blues sung in sync would be fantastic.

Similar to how Jimmy Hill led it multiple times.

I think I remember it but I don't even remember the fans singing in unison.

B A Robertson. Now, that's a music artist and a half.

Actually wrote Mike & The Mechanics, 'The Living Years.'

When I've been to see Stiff Little Fingers over the years I've always thought 'Go For It' would be a great one to run out to, I think BBC have adopted it now for their FA Cup coverage. Its instrumental, can see us running out to that at a packed CBS play off semi final

Yes it was definitely While the Sky is Blue. You can hear it from 50 seconds here, in our famous 1999 Boxing Day win over Arsenal! My first ever Boxing Day game!
Happy times!

I know it was god awful, but why can’t I find this song anywhere so I can torture myself one last time? It’s been stuck in my head since 2001.
