Whilst struggling the get 1,500 - 2,000 Sky Blue supporters to travel to Sixfields - take a look at the 5,000 plus who are prepared to travel a further 20 miles to Milton Keynes, Otium. Not only that, look again at the numbers far in excess of 1,500 - 2,000 who are traveling to away games regardless of distance (ticket availability considering). Say we get through to round 3 of the FA Cup and draw a Premiership Team at Sixfields ? 7,000 there against a possible 25,000 - 30,000 at the Ricoh. Wake up Otium !

Won't one of the stands be pulled down by then? If correct we'll be looking at 5-6 max. Also can you imagine what the crowd could be if us and Wolves are both in with a chance of promotion when we play at the end of the season?

It's hard to get a spoilt schoolboy to change, or trumpeting elephants to listen. There's too much pride at stake for them...in fact they've become a victim of that pride. So difficult!

Would love Northampton away in 2nd round & MUFC, home in 3rd round.
Bet we'd be back at Ricoh by then

I think they've already well and truly woke up to be honest! They want to own the ground, they have been consistant on that, they're discussing it at the moment...I think the job's almost done now lads, I really think a line will be drawn under the new year and we'll be back in Cov, in our own ground with revenue coming in, with a good team and an excellent manager. It's brighter than it looked a couple of months ago.

Looking forward to when we can all start talking about football again too!

I'd like to be optimistic but our "own" ground will belong to SISU/Otium, and we'll be renting. Fisher said as much recently I believe. How much of that revenue coming in will go to CCFC rather than the parent company, I'm not getting too excited.

but a company (sisu) owning both together is better than a company owning one & a charity/Local Authority the other

Well, more than it was because beforehand we didn't have any revenue! At least if that scenario did happen, there will only be one body to blame, like most other clubs.
I'm actually behind the club owning the stadium (regardless of who owns the club) because I thought the ORIGINAL plan for the Ricoh was a good one for the club - so the nearer to that we go, the better. It would also make the club much more of an asset for outsiders to buy, so Sisu may be able to go to their original plan after all, resulting in them pissing off.

Totally agree.
We're not the first club to have greedy and corrupt owners - the difference is, those other clubs make money as a business whereas we haven't for quite some time because there are other greedy and corrupt parties involved, and it makes it difficult to manage it all as a fan and to assess who's solely to blame.

I mean AFC rise from the ashes. Now planning an 11,000 (upto 20,000) seater stadium after all they have been through. (Bit like ours after 125 years :facepalm

He is doing a good job but Sisu need to give him a chance and get back to the Ricoh.
Players, and manager, will not put up with this crap for much longer.
I guess if its not sorted for xmas a lot of players will be hoping for other clubs to come in and take them away from this nightmare.
They'll be gone like sh1t on a shovel.

Don't be ridiculous. Players will play in front of one man and a dog if their wages are competitive.

Money is their only driver.

It's not difficult unless you have rose coloured glasses on ...... IT'S SISU

Sisu are using a minor income loss from other income streams on massive losses caused by their mismanagement and absolutely huge management fees.
Can't believe people haven't done the figures.

Not making up. Common sense and human nature.
Our players will be on minimum wages, can't be happy with the situation and any offer from a higher team will be snapped up.

Grenduffy...Don't be ridiculous. Players will play in front of one man and a dog if their wages are competitive.Money is their only driver........................................................................The phrase "Talking out of your arse" comes to mind. Yes their careers are short and need to make money, but approx 98% of players are not "Well off" (Myself included) but made enough to live comfortably. and nearly all of those less well off players dream to play in front of good crowds, and it would be a "Given" to do so. I've been lucky, and privileged to have played in front of decent crowds

1 Are the wages competitive?
2 Most players want the opportunity of a big stage
3. Do they really feel secure under SISU ownership and our current situation?

How much of our performances are fuelled by the motivation of a shop window and a future elsewhere?

Grendel is sadly right in this case, as long as players are paid they will play anywhere as Fisher knows. Ironically though the City will not reunite its club with its stadium as Joy will not bring the team home without owning the Ricoh for peanuts, therefore it will not return home, nor will there be another stadium built as planning will take more years than Fisher and Seppala have left, even if Tony is involved

Players will respond to a healthy environment - they're no different from any organism. Rewards tho are difficult to quantify - not everybody is motivated by money alone. Delivering the goods in front of one man and his dog only works for a while. Our talented players and manager will be off if Sisu do not give them the stage their talents merit.

Sisu deliberately relegated Ccfc under Thorn, they are now improving the playing side of things but purely as a cynical ploy. They are an utterly contemptible bunch of weasels who should have nothing to do with football.
