If he gets injured again does he end up back here leaching his wages?

Think we are shipping players out because we know players are coming in otherwise I’m certain Waggy would have been kept, he has limitations but is an old head to have on the bench. Not Kane think MR wanted him away asap.

We have shipped out two players who are never likely to be first team regulars. Fantastic business.

Think it's a bit early to say to be fair. Think Kane was always going to go regardless. I like Waghorn but it's not worked out this season for him. Suspect he was one that Robins was referring to when talking about players needing to look outside of CCFC.

There's nothing to suggest these players had to go to bring new faces in.

Can't believe the negativity around Waghorn. He and Gyo had a great partnership up until he got Covid. He obviously has some form of long covid that affected his performances since.

Good luck to him...I hope he does well. Also well liked amongst the squad. Players normally react poorly with shit/lazy players...didn't seem too happen with Waghorn.

His miss at the start of the Bristol game and his effort at 2-1 against Wrexham is all you need to remember. It wasn’t great it was okay

Whilst he won't be a big miss in term of the impact he's had here, it leaves us very short for tomorrow. Walker has only just come back on grass and Godden is still injured, tavares also out for the rest of the season, and O'Hare too. That leaves us very short tomorrow with just Gyokeres and Palmer as recognised 'attacking' players. Granted we will bring in reinforcements, but it would have been good to get someone in before letting Waggy go.

Haven’t Wimbledon sent Hudlin back? Could be some forward line for Huddersfield.

It’s guesswork based on what we know. Kane is a player who has spent his whole career in the top 2 divisions.

its a reasonable assumption that high paying London club QPR were paying a significant wage - when we came in it was hardly likely he’s going to drop a significant portion of that. So he may have taken his wage cut, but it wouldn’t have been lower that what championship clubs pay on average and given we’re paying around 17/18m in wages I’d say it’s not far off 13-15k

But it's never that easy unfortunately. You have to take the opportunity when it arises. It's not like we would want to play two forwards tomorrow, especially when one never scores.

Let's not hate on Waghorn to much, think he was clearly a decent professional and a good player to have in the dressing room and training ground.

However the right decision to move him on, high wage and picks up too many injuries and when he does play hasn't produced enough.
Do we know how much of that wage we're still picking up? Applies to Kane as well.

Probably not. But given its a championship club I think it's reasonable to assume they are paying 75%? Best part of 150k for half a season
