It would be worrying if the conversation never took place about SP position, i mean his record is terrible... The only 2 reasons that i can think that he is not out the door already is the length of contract and compo or SISU feel that they haven't backed him and feel it would be wrong for him to be the fall guy....I know which one i'm picking for his continued employment....

Pressley's total record

PD 79
W 25
L 24
D 30
GF 155
GA 152
GD +3

Atrocious considering the squad we had last season!

The SBT moral compass. Are we on JS' side now then?

SW himself of course. He can step in immediately and a wage is saved.

Yeah let's keep him no matter how bad it gets. There's nobody else.

There's always someone else but as HH points out it doesn't mean that our car crash of a club is going to attract someone who's capable of improving our situation.

Not sure I agree. No-lose situation for any manager coming in.

Do well - Hero against the odds

Do badly - The Club/Board had no money or ambition. Good excuse, try again elsewhere.

And why the flying fook would we want to do that, considering his beloved yeovil are rooted to the bottom of the league after crashing out of the championship.

Certainly no thanks.

Didn't Johnson once say that Yeovil were a bigger club than Coventry. I wouldn't piss on him he were on fire.

One Manager's name with a proven record which has not been mentioned is Nigel Adkins. He has Managed in League One, The Championship and the Premier League.

This mornings Article seems to debunk this topic .

Heavy reference to players fitting the Pressley ethos .

Could we attract someone who's capable of doing a better job than SP?

You could say its 50/50 but there are 3 different scenarios.

1) SP's replacement is better than SP
2) SP's replacement is no better than SP
3) SP's replacement is worse than SP

With SISU in charge what could possibly go wrong?

Are you being serious?

So you think we would struggle to find a manager that could get our team to get shots on target, make the right subs and at the right time, have a plan B, not keep playing a system that doesn't work or even get our team to play as good as a part time non league side?

are you asking if we could get someone in who could improve on a 24% win ratio in a league where we have a wage budget in the top 8 ?

I'd have sacked him months ago, just trying to get the reasoning from the 'who'd do any better' brigade!

Well I can think of at least 5 managers in league two for example who would do a better job with our squad or rather Waggotts squad.

Paul Tisdale at Exeter for one would do a better job the SP.
he is also used to working with no money and given a chance to work with a better squad of players would do a much better job than the "the special one".

he also plays attacking football, can you imagine going to games and watching our team attack ,playing attractive positive football and then having a shot on goal , crazy what a thought.

so there's a name for all the "who could do a better job " brigade from a league below us as well, and his wage demands would not be excessive either.

Watch what happens after he wheels and deals in January.
He is the same man who got 15 misfits promoted from this division on one of the smallest budgets remember. We will soon have one if the smallest budgets.

Also made a disgusting comment about our club before about Yeovil being a bigger club PMSL.

The blokes a tit, a wheels and deals, they wont be going anywhere fast, their shite, and gained promotion on a inform striker scoring 20 odd in the final half of the season.

Alot better around for free who would do better than Gary Johnson mate.

And there ls the problem, they have all been sacked at one time or a other for not being good enough. May make a short term difference then we will be back to where we are now moaning for another new manager

Many many managers, include Englands current manager, have been sacked before for not being "good enough".

Any Manager has to start somewhere.

Makes no difference if they are good enough or not. They soon jump back onto the Management Merry-go-round. Football management must be the only job that rewards failure. And in most cases failure guarantees another job somewhere else.

However, I would like to see players start to take some responsibility for when clubs perform badly. They tend to get away with it. How about sacking a few of them, I'm sure they'd suddenly start playing a little better....

We won't have one of the smallest budgets and Johnson is a busted flush living off one good signing.

Try telling Northampton town fans about how good he is.

What have you been smoking?

But you probably believed we would not get relegated from The Championship?
