Reducing prices by 25% and appointing a manager who most said would never manage in this league are signs of glaring incompetence I agree.

i am all for the ticket reduction but it hasn't worked as the numbers are no better, so is there another reason the fans are staying away it must not be price.

if they hadn't lowered the prices what would the sales have been?

Turner and Simon dont run the club STU, he does,, and what and how much influence has he will never disclose... SP signs,, he remarked best signing i have made for the club!!! really,, $ year deal,,no accountability... When he told all we have a scouting network throughout the UK,, really, we dont have a picture on the wall of the training facility, but no acountablity,, He is running aroung the county looking at land with TF,, but not honest enough to say for more than 2 years, we really have nothing.. And i suppose he never held meeting with Walsall or NTFC about moving away..

He is a illusionist,, always said it and as of yet SW has done nothing to prove me wrong..

It's just marketing for season ticket sales. Obviously more sales means more money for Mowbray.

Two signings expected before Wigan so stop bitching and moaning.

Problem is FRY,, when we have another season like the last, SW will always find a fall guy or fans to misdirect the light off him.. I hope the club do well this season and i wish no bad results, but nothing shows me yet we are in for much different, 10th-14th finish i think would be a good season..

Hill posted the fact of this all, depending on which way you fall is going to depend on how you read the statement made by SW...

They can indeed, never a truer word spoken.

Both SW and TF now have no roll to play at this club so better to get rid and save on their wages. At least it will give TM more money to spend where it is really needed.

Certain posters still defended SISU when we had to play in Northampton for two years. I'm convinced one of the posters is currently employed by SISU.

Obviously they are imperative. It's the main source of revenue. However, about 5 minutes after this statement, the telegraph interview with Mogga came out about the 2 signings.

I guess we sold a fuck load of season tickets in that 5 minute period to be able to afford these signings.

The damage the move to Northampton caused will take many years to repair.
Fisher and the arrogant way he handled the move created a hatred towards him and SISU that I feel won't go away easily.people have stuck their heels in and won't come back until they are gone.
myself I'm looking forward to the season and some juicy away days in the area around me,Colchester,Southend,Peterborough and a few others not too far away, plus my daughter is in her second year at Warwick Uni ,so I plan to go and see her and take in a game a few times

Are you pretending to be stupid? The two things are unrelated. I am sure we will sign players but that does not excuse Waggot's fear mongering tactic to drum up ST sales. It's a bluff but its a cynical and unpleasant one.
I would implore the SBT intelligentsia to step away from this one, surely you are better than that? It was a nasty, cynical, manipulative remark.

I'm surprised given your high grade legal training you've said that Tony. Don't all companies require a CEO? I will bow to your superior knowledge in this field Perry.

at least mowbray spoke much sense on sky live he knows full well only an attractive winning team will see a upsurge in sales, waggott was basically stating the bleedin obvious in his rather clumsy way.The fact is the hardcore fan base has renewed the fact it has sunk so much is down to our owners and these people will take a lot of winning over

SISU have stated they will not be putting more money in. At present we look to be short of the number of season ticket sales required to give us the match attendances this season's budget was based on. That would mean a shortfall, if SISU aren't putting more money in then that will mean selling someone. Cue more uproar on here.

SW has said the same thing all summer and its not rocket science, sell more tickets we have more money. Not really sure why so many people are having a go at him for it. Its not like there isn't a long list of real issues to moan about.

You think that's the way to go about it Chief? Buy more tickets or no deals over the line? Idle it might be but a nasty threat it is.

I suggest that Waggot takes a big axe to his sales staff who have once again failed miserably to achieve any of the targets he has set, then a decision for Joy is which of the two monkeys she employs can go.

Open and honest,, more like stupid and obvious,, before making remarks about not hitting his ST target , he should of thought why are 50% of the fans not turning up or getting a ST.. If so he would understand most are sick of his and Sisu's BS,, we do not need to be rediculed i think they have done that to us enough, don't you...

SISU have been horrendous. The move to Northampton unjustified. In my opinion they are largely to blame for us not having the Ricoh.

Waggott, never been a fan.

But Since the arrival of TM, there has been efforts to improve things with the fans and it is not all down to TM.

SISU have stepped back and are not putting more money in.

But Waggott along with Mowbrey and his team are trying to run Coventry City on a League 1 budget. It is not easy as our budget is similar to many and less than at least the top six. Mowbrey hasn't spent all his budget yet.

The problem with the original post is its says Waggott blames the fans. He doesn't, someone has either knee jerked or is blatantly trying to stir the shit by twisting his words. He hasn't ridiculed anyone either.

About 11k I think I read, including c6k ST sales. Our ST sales is just under 5k so we're about 17% down. We only averaged 11k in 12/13 and about 9k last season. I guess they were hoping the Mowbray factor would bring in more ST's and we'll start winning and the crowds will go up.

Last summer we knew we were returning to the Ricoh, we had suffered huge crowd losses at Northampton, we had a revolving door of short term really poor players, we had cash from Leon & Callum sales - we could have invested some of it on the pitch we chose to continue with the short term crap, fans voted with their feet again and continue to do so, ST prices are clearly not the issue, its a chicken and egg situation, the stay away fans want hard evidence of improvement whereas waggot expects blind faith from the fans.

It was announced on the 21 Aug 2014 - that's still summer even in coventry, would have been weeks of negotiation prior to that, the Ricoh return was a no brainer for the club,

As the club is getting no support from the owners no and is stand alone and creating its own wealth, if the miracle ever happened and we got to the prem would we still be self funding or would we then be welcome back into the Sisu family as the club would have its pockets stuffed with TV money?
