I have a wish for the New Year, Just wish people who make such outrageous negative posts on this site would actually listen to what was said (whether by Steve Waggott or any other person representing the club) before posting.

Well I can wish but know it will never happen!

Happy New Year to ALL Sky Blue followers & supporters, PUSB!

People were moaning when we didn't sell anybody in the summer.

More like people sticking up for SISUE were having a go at anyone that said players might be sold to make up for the money lost by taking us to Northampton.

Yes offers were turned down. But no decent offer came in that we heard of, including loaning out our best players. Waggott would have known they could get more. But why sell when we don't have enough players as it is unless they are replaced? Like they said they will fund the losses. They should keep the squad together as much as they can to give us a chance of the playoffs.

Two questions.

Are you saying the OP "made up" that waggot stated on the radio that players will be sold?

Are you saying that Fisher "made up" the statement that sisu will cover the losses?

From recollection i believe he said that there will not be a day In January where there Is unlikely to be activity ,although I can't Imagine there will realistically be one in or out each day.

He did say the embargo Is still In place ,so why the hold up with Liquidations ?

There are still 3 vacant spots that can be filled from the summer clear out ,but there are two or three that are frustrated at not getting any game time and likely to go in one way or another + Cyrus ,no hiding on that one .

So 5-6 incoming from what he said ,Centre half ,holding midfielder then any ones guess.

Nobody is sticking up for sisu, they just aren't blaming them for third world hunger and world war 2.

So they didn't sell because offers weren't high enough, that's how it should be...

All clubs sell if the offer is right, which is what sisu said?

I must be sticking up for them, because I'm not having a go at then for something they didn't say and hasn't even happened yet...

If that's really what he said then... that's better than I'd dare hope for!

SP said Cyrus would be staying ,even if he did nt sign his contract , and the same for other players , Waggot more or less just confirmed at least 3 will be leaving , Cyrus was mentioned !! So players will be sold to fund the loses , Not Sisu funding them ... More terrible PR from the club !

Am I the only one who remembers that they said players will be sold if a decent offer comes in. Surely that applies to every team, regardless of owners. I think what was meant before was that no one will be flogged on the cheap.

But, hey... If it's a chance to call Tim Fisher a liar then yeah... the swines.

You are correct - this whole thread is nonsense.

One day someone will start a thread about players having their wages cut to pay for the new stadium and some gullible clowns will swallow it.....

Or that for some reason Ffp no longer applies to ccfc, just the 91 other clubs.

Have to say from your description it sounds more like they'll be adding to the squad overall than taking away from it(!)

We could speak to the local authority and a local charity in an area close to the city of Coventry and see if they could fund it?

I'm guessing If the can raise a reasonable fee for Cyrus they are ultimately thinking of next years numbers.

im not a big sisu fan but at the end of the day if a decent offer comes in for a player then you are duty bound to think about it. hardly a surprise if its christie leaving, the boy has been reluctant to sign the new contract offers recently.

Waggot also had a pop at acl saying that they cost city ten points , until now he had kept out that row saying his job was to concentrate on p, just seemed a little strangelayers contracts ect , and as such many people had more time for him over fisher, don't know why he chose tonight to comment on what the owners do when he hasn't before

ACL did not cost sisu any points,it was sisu who stopped paying the rent not ACL.

God help us if CCC/ACL ever sell the Ricoh to this mercenary mob of ne'er do wells.

Don't think anyone is arguing that, well im certainly not.

More just that if players are sold, then all funds need to be reinvented into the team, otherwise Tim will have told a porky.

agree with you but unlikely to happen. they said they would fund losses but i think that was based on predicted crowds of upwards of 3k

So what is a descent Offer anyway?
I would expect from there other transactions. It will be an undisclosed fee,

So we may never know.

I thought he spoke pretty well until like every sisu employee interview he mentions ACL cost us 10 points

They are still worried people may blame them for some of this mess we are all in?

There right thou on that account I blame them for all of it.

Why didn't Sisu pay up the £600k or whatever it was? Surely 20 points are more important than that?

You mean SISUE offered to pay the arrears of rent they were legally obliged to pay? I don't think they did, did they G or am I mistaken?

Higgs accepted the CVA and ACL didn't. This has created huge resentment. We know they rejected it because sisu wouldn't agree to two unspecified clauses - it has nothing to do with doing the right thing or exposing the truth. Due to that we are not in the top 6. Any supporter that is not angered by that is a very peculiar supporter.
