Just thought I would throw this one out for the forum to discuss. After all the lies that have continually been spouted by and on behalf of the grey faceless people that can not be mentioned any more for fear of legal action, would you keep Waggot?

He seems to be a genuine honest bloke that has always fronted up when asked to attend forums and the like and has in general tried his hardest to get managers what they wanted, all be it under the control of the boys in grey. I think when all the dust has settled and its proven that both parts of the club are linked under the league rules, and the administrator starts cutting excess he will be one of the first to go.

The players all like him and he has had a good working relationship with the managers, so if you were a prospective owner of the club would you keep him? Or would he want to stay as he will probably be sold down the river by the Fisherman. PUSB

If he was a good bloke he would come out and say as it is. part and parcel of sisu and brought here by Tim Fisher, a mate.

Would you quit a well played job you enjoy if you thought there might be a chance you'd retain your position with new owners? Not sure if he'd be wise to burn his bridges at this point. Clearly keeping his head down. Can't fault him, all sorts of shit flying around.

Don't know if he is mates with Fisher or not. Perhaps he is. I reckon he'll go anyway.

If he was a stupid bloke he'd do that. His job isn't to grandstand purely to appease people suspicious of everyone associated with the club.

Waggot's job was to streamline the club top to bottom in terms of working practices and non-footballing personnel. He's also been the fall guy to pop his head over the wall and give bad news.

He's good as his job, I'd keep him. Good people can work for bad employers...

Personal opinion I would lose Fisher as he contributes nothing positive, but on the basis that we wont be recruiting players till after a sale has been completed Waggott would be pretty redundant too.

I understood that it was to help with footballing personal, such as helping the manager in terms of signing/moving on players? I had no idea that his remit extended beyond that

hmm...might have got the wrong end of the stick then?? I'm basing it on what he did at Charlton where he was hated by the parasites around the club but loved by the fans by all accounts

Waggott and Fisher were colleagues at Charlton Athletic who's fortunes seemed to improve when they left.

According to a Charlton supporting friend, Waggot was the fairly anonymous Community Development Manager suddenly promoted to MD when some difficult decisions needed to be made. So it was he that was "responsible" for making a lot of long serving and popular employees redundant and not the chairman/board. When the hatchet work was done, he was booted out himself.

And the same source says Fisher was never an employee of the club. He was commissioned, in a great fanfare of publicity, by the chairman to find a buyer. This was most likely, however, to bring pressure on the group that eventually bought the club and who were dithering at the time.

So, it appears as if the pair of them were merely puppets in the grander schemes of others. Some may think this makes them ideally suited to their current roles.

Seems a genuine bloke to me said that the hardest job he has ever done was get rid of Richard Shaw who he played with when he was younger.
His hands were tied because Robins didn't want him the rest is history.

Fisher is a company restructuring specialist, Waggot is a football guy and is OK in my opinion.

There may be no option to take Waggot going forward without SISU, depends how much he knows I guess.

Waggot for me is another Joe Elliott. Seems a nice guy, hasn't ever done anything directly wrong, and has just fell in with the wrong people.

However in an ideal world I would like a complete break from the past when it comes to those in charge.

Unfortunately that is what we did last time all directors were ousted She wont even speak to some of them probably because they are City Fans and care about the Club

I think he has done a good job for us got us Robbins and now Pressley he is good at his job thats what people have a problem with. Hatchet men have a remit and work for the greater good of the clubs but what they do annoys the people remaining and then at the first chance are booted straight away.
