I can remember alright, but watching that clip yet again brings a lump in my throat and gets me welling up.

I was at the back that day with my lad on my shoulders and boy were we elated - that was the moment we knew we couldn't be beaten. The way Houch jumped for joy in front of us, and the pride every one of those players showed for OUR club.

Happy days

Where was the Mabbutt goal? I would have voted for it if it was included. Cracking goal. The most I have celebrated a goal by miles for a player that doesn't play for us

I was behind the goal that day,, i remember the pass out wide, then in my mind all went in slow motion, quiet, like i was standing on my own, complete silence and i knew the ball was coming and where it would end up.. After that goal i don't remember what i did, where i ended up or how far i jumped, i was 18 with 20 mates, great time and is one of the best days of my life.. All around me was tears, shock as most fans still not really understanding what had just happened and that we had won..

My dad who had been a ST holder for 15 years gave me the one and only ticket that was allowed to us by the club, which brought mixed emotions for me.. So not spoke about all week, in a city and house that nothing else was talked about before that final was hard. Then came a phone call, my uncle who had more than a few contacts up north in football had 4 tickets in his hand and was driving down that night to hand them over... My dad then had to go to work at the jag on the Friday and pick 3 people to have them free....

Met my dad on Wembley Way walking out, chatted for 10 mins and ran off to the Euston, got home where the town was going nuts ,,,,the perfect end to a very unsure week of build up.

Was living in Yeovil at the time. Traveled along the 303 with "Go for it City", blarring out and sky blue ribbons all over the car. Afterwards went back to Coventry to savior the atmosphere, fags and scarves hanging from every bridge and The Red Lion absolutely packed to the rafters. Great days.......will they ever return?

Houchen in at 7. http://www.bbc.com/sport/live/football/32694794

[h=3]"Seems like minutes ago"[/h]
Coventry goalscorer Keith Houchen: "It seems like five minutes ago. The year before I was sitting in a working men's club in Middlesbrough watching the Cup final.

"Our management duo kept saying our name was on the Cup, I started to get called Roy of the Rovers because I kept scoring in the different rounds of the FA Cup. The lads still get together every year for a round of golf and a drink."

john motson -it should have been 2nd

"Keith Houchen will be disappointed that he is number seven. If you were asking me it would be second on all the FA Cup final goals I have commentated on."
