That's all well and good, and you'd struggle to find anyone who would disagree, but how is he actually proposing to do it?

Doesn't matter. It will be a landslide Conservative win so he could just be a complete arse every week and stand up and have a go at them. A manifesto of only one thing but with a promise to step down as soon as they leave and trigger a by election. I'd vote if it was an option. Be nice to get a candidate in all seats - £5k deposit to stand but you get £50k salary if elected.

That seat will go Labour, even the worst projections don't have them losing that.

Seems like it'd make more sense to run for the council like those others did before. What does he want Westminster to do? If it's just about unseating Robinson (is he standing again?) why not campaign for the Tories as that's the most likely route?

Never understand single issue politicians, seems like an easy way to lose £500.

also not sure in a world of food banks, a crumbling nhs, immigration problems etc, that's its sensible for a politician to make saving a local team that kick a ball round on some grass as a priority.

Yeah fair enough if that's what he wants to do with his money,

FWIW I don't see the point in the pigs either. He'd be better off buying £500 of lottery tickets and hoping to buy the club with a win. No one can pressure Sisu into going.

Totally agree with what you are saying.
Good luck to the guy though it's his money he is spending and IF he achieves anything at all with his stance I will salute him as someone who had the courage of his convictions.

I think he may be the anti Geoffrey Robinson candidate for Labour voters who just can't bring themselves to vote Tory.

If you don't want to vote for person who has a below average voting attendance in the Commons, and lives miles away from the constituency which he represented, then I believe you have an alternative choice now.
