I am suspicious that AV has been offered a job elsewhere. To recruit Boateng and Carr prior to Monday and announcing the departure was obviously planned and I highly doubt after 7 years of great service they just dumped him unsuspectingly

Quite right, it is a results business and if financially backed but results don’t meet expectations, then ….Seems to me that the club have evaluated our progress and decided rightly or wrongly, that new impetus in the the coaching team was necessary. Robins has been quite astute with refreshing the coaching set up in the past, however if this change does not bring about success it will be Robins that falls next.

We were worried when Steve Taylor (pre-Adi AM) was seriously ill and how MR would get on without him. We ended up with AV who was great for us.
If our ITKs are correct, then just as we need to replace the ‘old guard’ of players, we need to replace the ‘old guard’ of management if they’re no longer up to standards.

Second point, like the players, if the management are no longer fit for purpose, then they ought to be replaced.
Therefore, if Adi’s methods worked perfectly with players we had in the lower leagues, he may not be suited to managing the players we have at the minute.
