Just shows the difference. You can be rubbish at that level these days and still be on a decent financial footing.

Seems this dr xia has a personal wealth of £27b and his company worth £120b which makes him richer than avramovich or the mansoors at city - villa seem to have fallen on their feet with riches galore .

So we're going to have Villa with super rich owners, Leicester with super rich owners and us stuck in the middle with SISU.

what does this chap get for his money?
I can't decide if this a shrewd investment or whether hes just caught a very sharp falling knife......

....I suppose if he's really THAT loaded, it doesn't really matter......

Guessing it's the stadium and fan base - with his sort of money sorting the team would be easy with a decent manager - no doubt they will walk promotion next season but they won't find it so easy to break into the top 6 whatever their riches

I wonder if he will try and push the team to try and get support in China. Aren't China giving a massive push towards football?

The key as always is the debt. Reports on the last accounts show a large debt but the reports on the sale say there's no debt. If that's correct then you're buying a club with a large fanbase who own their own ground in one of the biggest cities in the country.

There's huge potential there to do a Man City or Chelsea.

Think he has everything in place apart from inheriting a shit team - apparently told Reuters they will spend £40m plus sales on transfers this summer .

£60M is a steal and a sound investment for any football club of that size. Lets hope he doesn't like the colour and changes their kit to red in line with the Chinese flag!

his biggest initial lay out is going to have to be paying of the bunch of wage thieves currently at the club with no interest in actually earning their huge wages. Doing that isn't going to be cheap but when you're worth 72 billion I don't suppose it'll hurt him too much.

In final stages of acquiring other 4 businesses and backed by the Chinese government - China has long wanted to get into English football - this will be massive money for villa long term .
