Felt sorry for Coventry though. They were under pressure for most of the game but defended pretty well, especiallly when it came to dealing with crosses. The back four and midfield were solid, but they just didn't possess a threat going forward, typified by the one on one miss which would have undoubtedly sealed it. Thought Murphy had made a couple of cracking saves as well before his mistake for the winner. I think in reality they are a good winger and a striker away from being a decent team. They were very close to producing the perfect smash and grab raid.

Also enjoyed watching the referee turn a blind eye to the battle between the No. 9 (I won't attempt to spell it), Paddy and Tunchev. They were constantly fouling each other, but the referee seemed to take the opinion that as long as there weren't any fists involved he was happy for them to scrap it out by themselves. Made it quite entertaining at times!

We completely battered them for 90 minutes how we were 1-0 down was a joke what a finish and fully deserved victory in the end, Cov will struggle the forward was left by himself all game no help poor lad gave it a good go.

**************

We didn't have many chances, with little up front I fully expected Cov to sit back and it was tough to break through, however we kept going and got the win I think on the balance of play we deserved.

**************

Fully deserved IMO. Coventry came for a draw and had two statues playing upfront. Compared to the energy shown by Scannell and Easter, Juczkskasiviewc and O'Donovan were pathetic. I would be so frustrated as a Coventry fan watching those two. Hardly any effort at all. The number 9 spent most the game moaning and sulking around the pitch.

Cov's goal came out of absolutely nowhere. We were by no means brilliant at that point, but the goal was against the run of play and, in my opinion, undeserved. Was it a push on Speroni? I can't really tell from the replays. Either way it was a gift. The only real chances Coventry created were in the last few minutes when we had everyone upfront.

However, it looked as though they'd hold out (how many 0-1 defeats have we had on Tuesday nights in the past?) and their defence coped with our crosses and long balls into the box well. A change of tac from Dougie won it for us. Introducing Zaha and Williams was exactly what we needed. Both players (along with Scannell) persisted and ran at the Cov defence until they couldn't take any more. Justice was dealt out when Joe Murphy spilt that one into the path of Easter. Maybe if he hadn't spent the last half an hour time wasting and moaning there wouldn't have been any injury time. Tough shit Joe!

*************

I do feel for Thorn, being forced to play the youngsters. Ours made the difference today but we had the option of easing them into the side.

How the hell can they say Jutkiewicz was a statue?!

The guy ran himself into the ground and could barely move at the end of the game due to exhaustion
