Not a true supporter then! During the many years I've supported we've had many owners but it's not about them, it's about the manager & the team.

I hope Ann & her Council cronies are proud of themselves! PUSB!

It hasn't -- you have joined the unique Society that includes Dadgad, Ginnetta and Council Jack -- an irrelevance that are beyond debate.

200,000 of which probably don't pay any council tax anyway.

The starting point always for me is we should have bought the share we didn't.

We continued to relentlessly play games.
I now understand why the council accepted wasps offer.

I would be outraged if we were trying to buy ACL

Not put it out of business
Not adamantly saying we were moving out if Cov
Not saying Freehold or nothing
Not suing the people we may need to strike a deal with.

If we were putting in a straight forward bid for ACL like wasps did and the council rejected it then sold it to wasps fair enough.

However it isn't like that we tried to screw ACL out of business and played constant games. We created this situation

Exactly.

These scumbags shouldn't be given preferential treatment.

They've acted despicably under the name of the football club and alienated the fans in the process.

Some of us have a moral compass and refuse to make their stay viable.

Well done you. What do you want, a medal?

Some people dont go, some do, as they want to support their team and dont want to see it go out of business, they also detach the club from SISU, you know the club that's been in existence for a lot longer than they have been associated with us.

People disagree and see things differently...that's life.

The needle seems to go a bit haywire when you're welcoming a team from London setting up camp here.

Each to their own of course.

If you're happy to fund their stay while they serve up shit to you and treat you with contempt then carry on.

Pressley plays 3-5-2 and we are rolled over, everyone blames Pressley.

SISU play 3-5-2 and we are rolled over, everyone blames CCC.

The latest fixation is to blame Wasps.

When it comes to the local economy, under SISU we have gone from premium supermarket to stall holder at the local car boot sale.

SISU havent delivered on one point of their business plan.

I disagree. They have reduced the wage bill. Just a shame that the compo that they keep having to pay is so big. And the legal bills are even bigger.

I wouldn't say City were ever Waitrose. Happy Shopper maybe - they had their best days in the '80s too didn't they?

To be fair, the club was renting a car boot stall at the start of the season, but it is currently renting a proper shop location.

The club could have owned that store though if the management hadn't messed around trying to be clever.

Sisu out!

Exactly right.
I cannot see how Wasps an be blamed for any of this?

All they did was buy a Stadium that no one else wanted until they got it.

Come on wasn't even sisu plan B.

Plan A and only plan get enough lego bricks to build a stadium.

I've never understood having to take sides in who to blame. sisu are parasites and have been a disaster for ccfc. acl never made a profit net of ccfc rent until the last year and finally it was admitted they are just washing their face - hardly a success story. ccc have acted appallingly with the wasps deal. And wasps are a chronic example of a financial franchise not a sports club and the preference for transient customers over loyal supporters. Not one of these parties has the best interests of ccfc at heart. Only us supporters do

are CCC or ACL obliged to have the best interests of CCFC at heart? Or do they have other responsibilities? Our owners are probably the only party obliged to at least try and run the club - it must say in the Articles and Memorandum what the aims of the company ( Otium ) are. The fans are powerless ( apart from changing their purchasing habits ) and are looking like a rather low priority in the ongoing games of all parties.

I didn't say they were. they have been appalling in their performance of responsibilities that are theirs.

Saying "The fans are powerless" is also completely untrue. We need a sticky which says 'swansea, pompey, sixfields - fans do have power and the proof is there for all to see'

Ok, but it is obviously limited. In our case, I think SISU were aware of talks with Wasps and that helped swing the return - as well as the marches etc.. Fans want success or at least an attempt at success. Our owners are not interested in that ( ok it would be nice for them ), but at the moment success for them is a cash flow plus. How do we use our power to make them prioritize sporting success?

Make your mind up! in one post it's fans are powerless. then it's they have limited power. There's a huge difference between those two statements. If we're powerless then that's the end of the conversation. If we have some power, even if limited, then there's a discussion to be had

What they don't seem to get is that sporting success inevitably results in monetary success. It also requires an upfront investment in order to reap the resulting return. I'm not convinced they want monetary success. CCFC seems to be a convenient place to dump debt. Could it all be creative accounting?

They tried putting money into the squad when they first took over. The problem is that they have been shit at everything they have tried.

No, they aren't obliged to. Surely it is the fact that they make out they have, give it the heart string pulling speeches about standing next to to fans on the terraces, live next door, love the club etc. If they don't want to help the club then fine, but they shouldn't act like they give a shit to try and get fans onside and to play the PR game.

The only difference is they should be obliged to do what is best for the Club, I haven't seen anything yet to support this?

Ah so what your saying is that Sisu don't like the club because hey haven't said so.

And Anne Lucus hates them because she was a season ticket holder for years and wouldn't bend over backwards and give in to them.

Fuck me I must hate the Club as well then.

To be honest I am struggling to see how any party in this can claim any sort of victory. Everybody has lost, but especially the fans of the various sports teams touched by it all. Even Wasps can not claim a victory because the outcome of their new ACL ownership is totally unknown. The cost financially, morally and personally for all the parties far out weighs any current known gain or profit.

I am also heartily fed up of the prevalent response of football in general that the world and its dog owes it or a particular team something simply because it is football. The whole structure of football is riven with self interest, egos, poor or clueless management on and off the pitch, and decidedly inept or worse governance. Until there is some real movement to rectify all that (in particular at CCFC) then my sympathy for those leading the way is less than luke warm at best

We are well past woe is me really aren't we.? We all have our own views as to blame, but we can not change what now is. Isnt it about time that our club actually played the cards it has been dealt and found ways to maximise our situation instead of constantly find ways to whine, challenge and oppose. There are ways, even if just short term, that can be done but it means working in partnership not conflict with all that could help CCFC prosper. It is time to take responsibility not for the past but for the future.

with that off my chest I hope for a much better week
