Always find it bizarre how him and Rose both had the same hip injury at the same time. The management of both through their rehab appeared to be very poor. Torp had a decent game on his last start (Watford, probably one of our best performances this season). Since then he’s been almost completely frozen out. Didn’t get a look in on Saturday despite both holding midfielders being booked. Can anyone explain?

Obviously Torp’s not at Sheafs level but sheaf is clearly not fully fit. Just seems odd how little minutes he’s getting.

We've been playing him deep in a Sheaf role out of necessity, that's not where his strengths are at all.
Play him further up where Rudoni plays and we'll see the best of him. He's got a lovely eye for a pass and a great delivery.
He's not the rock in the middle that is fighting tooth and nail for the ball. He's the one who receives the ball from that type and then provides an out ball for the attackers.

No way is he a 10. Not enough pace for an 8 to get up and down. Not strong enough in the tackle to sit deep.
Yes he can pick a pass has a decent shot. But his weaknesses counter act the strengths rather than make up for them. His corners and set pieces have been nothing special. Nowhere near Rudoni:s delivery.

I agree, I think he is an 8Rudoni isn't exactly a 10 himself really. Plays somewhere in between an 8 and a 10.
Not saying Torp is an out and out 10 but his strengths are much more suited to being higher up the pitch in front of the holding mids.
He wouldn't be one that drops deep to grab the ball like Rudoni, but someone that sort of floats in between the midfield and the attack.
In terms of delivery, I do genuinely think he's up there with Rudoni. You could argue that Rudoni is more consistent, but Torp has played passes that no other player on the pitch has seen or would try. Some lovely floated balls around the defence towards the back post that we never seem to play for some reason.
I also think his diagonal balls and weight of pass are quality.
edit: just seen you were talking about set pieces when it comes to delivery, so disregard the last bit. I would agree Rudoni has the better set piece delivery.

I know just the manThinking on this a bit more, wonder if he could be deployed as a Enganche. Would need us to think about our attacking play, but could be a interesting role for him considering there not expected to drive with the ball but instead stay in the middle of the midfield and attack and pass it through the lines.
