It really shouldn't. We aren't top of the pecking order and have to be able and willing to cash in, the difference now is doing that at the right time. And also now we need to be able to reinvest more funds where it matters - on the pitch.

The icing on the cake would be a new contract for Gyok, to reward him for his amazing progress since he signed from Brighton.
We could even add a release clause for him, because in all reality, he will want to move to a bigger club at some point (maybe even the summer), and a release clause shows that we will not stand in his way.

Giving Vik a new contract, yet selling him in the summer would also cost us a shed load more in wages for that period. No way is he going to sign one - not convinced he would even if we got promoted, as his likely goals will have made him even more valuable/in demand. Let's just enjoy the last few months and hope there is a bidding war.
