We could have scored another 3 though to put a positive spin on it.

Agreed, but a young team held strong against a physical team.

Exactly the against Port Vale but we got the 3 points is the main thing. Don't forget we have a young inexperienced team though.

Agreed. Huge boost just before 3 or 4 difficult games.

I thought we were excellent overall, as the commentators said the only critical mistake came from not holding firm in the wall and Sheffield grew in confidence from then. We created enough chances to win two games !! Well done SP !

Opponents in "don't give up" shocker!
Credit should go to Shee Utd for not lying down at 3 - 0, but I rather think that if Clarke had made it 4 - 1 when he shuld have that we'd have been home and dry....

We were in complete control first 45. When we scored the third it looked as though it was going to be damage limitation. Fair play to Sheff Utd for the way they came back. However, I am going to be quite critical when normally I'm not but the wall was at fault for their first. It provided the gap for the ball, that goal then gave them hope. That blocks like it should we would have won the game comfortably.

when we stop pressuring we are crap, its happening last 25misn of games it seems so more fitness work required.

Fortune favours the brave and IMHO our young team, including all the substitutes did us proud. PUSB!

Utterly dominated for an hour. It would have been shocking had we thrown it away.

So impressed with the movement and understanding of the front two.

Fuck you SISU for robbing me of watching my team.

Bullshit, they were lucky to not be 5 or 6 down. Scoreline flattered them tbh

Strong language Skybluelee, but understandable and also totally appropriate under the circumstances.

Good...BUT!

I agree, our three goals would have graced any league, and some of our approach play in the final third was clinically good, at three up it seemed like six was not beyond possibility.
Sheff utd, thought otherwise, and from corners and dead ball situations exposed our much talked about frailties from ariel bombardment, their man was completely unattended at the far post and took the chance without any bother, the wall parted for their other goal, something that will have to worked on today.
In the final twenty minutes or so, we were left hanging on for the win, after Leon Clarke, missed a good chance of his Hat Trick, glad to hear the final whistle TBH.
Great first Half...Well done Elvis and the Sky Blue babes

Yes agreed by the win and 3 points has to be all that matters but then say we conceded a 3rd and it finished 3-3 would we be all nice like we are about this? if we are 3-0 up with half hour left then we have to learn how to be professional and do the right thing. I don't agree with the above statement about last 25 mins so it must be fitness issues. No one said this last week when held on against Stevenage did they? and also we have a young side so fitness im not so sure. I am convinced its just a young inexperienced side who need to learn to see games out. Always a fast start and falters in later stages more often than not. Port Vale and yesterday two fine examples but this is just concentration and inexperience not fitness. They will learn.

If we had only been 1 - 0 up then the second half would have been differenet from city its difficult for youngsters to comprehend that when we are 3 - 0 up the other team canot be taken for granted, I was at Stevenage last week and we never switched off at all, we seem to be findind it easy to get 2/3 goals up early in the game which goes to show how many shite teams in this league are. When we play the better teams we will concentrate more.

easily the better team in my opinion, the speed and energy our midfield and fron two have is a joy to watch. We need to ward against silly mistakes i.e. that freekick but we could have won that by more. We create so manay chances during a course of a game which is so refreshing to see given the dross we have had over the last 10 years! ELVIS IS THE KING!!
