i am curious at anyone who says protesting has a negative effect on the team. Didn't Charlton protest last week and they won 3-0

Also plenty of sisu out chanting on Tuesday night, and it didn't stop us winning.

I am one of the first to realise long gone are our premier league days, but a little part of me always gets sad when I see things like...

"The Sky Blues face a Rochdale side who have won five of their last six games in League One, and Venus is under no illusion of the task ahead"

Its Rochdale

Venus must be lying, he's only the manager who has a far better insight than any fan does about the impact that protests during home games may have on a young team.

Same feelings here but we lost to them in the Cup when we were in the First Division and they were in the Fourth I think. Didn't help with Noel Cantwell saying before the game 'Where's Rochdale?'. Probably been cursed ever since.

He'd be a pretty fucking special board member to encourage protest against the owners to be fair.

Our general atmosphere is hardly supportive even when we don't protest against the owners in fact. I'd take an end to booing your own players and losing patience after 5 passes over an end to protests any day.

As mentioned lots of times, anti Sisu songs throughout the game at Port Vale, same young team, result was a win. Protests no effect ( or positive effect ) on team performance. Charlton manager last week, fans have the right to protest, no effect on the team. Bad publicity and its effect on Sisu that might be another matter.

I reckon the team are bright enough to distinguish between 'we want SISU out' 'Fisher is a wanker' and 'you're not fit to wear that shirt'.

I cannot see how it will not effect the young players in particular! It's the same scenario in your work place really if you work for a company who is struggling financially! I go back to my days at GEC , Marconi etc for years I suffered the mind set that I could be losing my job because of a reducing budget and my concentration levels became impaired which obviously effected my performance and I think a lot of you who read this can relate to it! . So can you imagine what's going through the players mind when the crowds get smaller and the chanting for the owners to GO gets more vociferous ? I will join the march but will go to the game to support the PLAYERS
