Whilst we can disagree on the merits of Martin - personally still think he is a good solid defender - I would guess most would still rather have him in the squad than not. Poor decision by TM.

Agreed-An extra body at centre back would indeed be welcome at the moment.
But is that really a reason to have him?
We have sufficient back up with Cian Harris and Martin really is no better than Willis or Turnbill.
A shame Ricketts had to retire. (Although he also no better than 1st choice but experience alone worth it)

A club that has its house in order should have enough cover that players like Harries can be sent out on loan to get some proper first team experienceAs I said our views differ, so for me it wouldn't be just an "extra body". He would be a real alternative to Willis who is pretty inconsistent and Harries who should still be in the development squad and only played in early rounds of cup competitions as far as I am concerned.
