Would love to get rid of it and only use goal line technology.

It won't happen though. I think the big clubs will likely vote to keep it.

Desperately hope the clubs vote to do the right thing (lol) but would feel extra grim knowing our cup semifinal moment was taken away because of what turned out to only be a temporary insane blip in football history.

It's probably too late as I follow has been taken out by Sky?

I think you're probably right, maybe the fans should apply whatever pressure they can

What's striking is the fact that it's such huge majority required, unlike Brexit!!

The premier league is not a true democracy.

Back to that other point it would be better if the big six were gone altogether, simple majority, collective until someone gets to big for their boots!!

Hopefully won't make it into Championship. History is only a record of results and tables, i can remember the run of great games between Liverpool and Newcastle always at least 5 goal thrillers, even 4-3, wind forward there is a good chance they could be recoreded as 1-1 or 2-2 with the amount of goals being chalked off. Results today don't read 1-1, but actually it was a better game than that because 2 goals were disallowed. They seem to have come to some common ground on Penalties now, which is closer the original basic principle of was it itentional, keep goal line and thats it, the other will even its self out over a season, the same as teams used to play in mud baths, no complaints, same for both teams, highlighted the skilful players, a bit like rain in F1.

Another VAR decision goes in favour of Man United last night against Newcastle, blatant penalty not given.

Interesting - I was part of some of the very first trials of VAR, part of that was talks/ lectures from a couple of select group one officials. At that point*, they claimed they got 95% of decisions correct!

I thought this was a thing, they're sexing up the dossier!

My preference would be:
1. Keep it but apply only to clear and obvious errors - refs sending off the wrong player, missed elbow off the ball etc.
2. Scrap it
3. Close down all football forever

9999999999. keep it as it is

1. Obviously

Scrapping it I feel would be a disaster now. The increased pressure on refs would be completely off the scale.

It already is. How many personal attacks are there & cries of "corruption" etc. now? All brought about by the increased scrutiny of VAR.

I bet that before the introduction of VAR the average PL fan couldn't even name more than 3 referees, now their personal information is being posted online & the media are camping out outside their houses etc. as part of a witch hunt against them. It's disgusting & in no way conducive to improving standards.

And it's technology that is only applied in one league, and in the cup of teams from that league are at home.

It is bad now for sure. If will be tenfold though if they now scrap VAR. Everything all back on the ref.

That's not a pro VAR stance, it's just the reality, sadly.

As Sky Blues fans we're not unaccustomed to defeat, and I always get over it very quickly. We weren't defeated and this is an open wound.

I get it and it hurt.. but I’ve learned the hard way (and not via football) that my wounds stay open as long as I pick them. Letting go isn’t about trying to forget, it’s giving yourself permission to move from the place you got stuck.

As Sky Blues fans, for the first time, in a fuckinglong time, we have reason to feel that even better times are ahead of us. That’s where I’ve been headed since I let go.

Wise words. In truth, it's more of a flesh wound than anything more serious. I'll feel better once the other team in Sky Blue also hand them another harsh footballing lesson at the weekend. Aside - who would have got the choice of the Sky Blue strip?
The future is indeed bright. Robins is assembling what could be a fearsome attacking force - just got to stiffen up the defence a bit. The future is Sky Blue.

Game was abandoned because stuff was thrown on the pitch. Came out later on that the goal had been ruled out. Game never restarted after.

Then they came back out later to replay the last few minutes. Bizarre though.

It did 4 hours later for 3 mins. Moroccans spent most of the match feigning injury,it was comical, ref was awful . At one stage two of the Moroccan players tripped each other in their own penalty box and the ref gave a foul.
