A cynic might suggest that it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do...Been on the Govt web site to offer a room to a refugee. The site just freezes after you have completed the first page and then 'times out'. Six attempts so far.
How the fuck can they not even sort out a functioning website for this!!!

Hmmm, I obviously don’t know for sure but I’d be surprised if ex special forces didn’t know what they were getting into in terms of aircraft attacks etc. That hum dunkin (and a few other posters) are making out that ex army volunteers did a runner at first sign of trouble but reading some of the accounts it appears that they weren’t even being give equipment/weapons to defend themselves when the base was under attack. If that’s the case I’m not surprised they left.

I have had this conversation this end and come to the conclusion that I would join a protest and I would have done the thing with trying to push back the military vehicles etc and I would be up for bunging the odd Molotov cocktail or sniping. I couldn't do what that women did just then though and I couldn't go into hand to hand combatAlso you do seem to be suggesting that you would support and be up for a bit of military fighting in Ukraine
