I get the arguments about not escalating the conflict, I really do, but it's very hard not to feel in some way complicit in this.

There's no legitimacy to attacking a children's hospital, at what point do you have to say 'enough'.

Maybe we need to play Putin at his own game, offer as much direct military support to Ukraine as we can (offensive, defensive, cyber, planes, drones, artillery, missiles, political destabilisation, whatever) whilst absolutely denying that we're doing it.

I don't know, maybe that's daft, or maybe we're already doing it, but the seeming shambles around getting them a few jets doesn't exactly fill me with hope...

I’ve always felt we/NATO could have left our involvement/interference a bit more ambiguous and put some lines in the sand around targeting civilians and nuclear reactors for example.

However I also wonder whether Putin wants us to get involved so he could argue he’s been proven right, nato are pushing too far East/ threatening Russia and that’s why he invaded in the first place. Who knows what that cunts thinking

When you get someone like Zara Sultana saying she agrees with Boris Johnson and by association I agree with Zara Sultana then it’s kind of telling

Di you think Vladimir Putin is running that? Wow me and Zara Sultana and Richard Burgon all best buddies

So you agree Jeremy Corbyn was in bed with Russia so by definition anyone on here who backed Corbyn supports Russian shills.

that’s very offensive to a lot of people on here do you have any evidence?

Yup. Corbyn is definitely going to go down as one of the worst UK prime ministers ever isn't he.

You really should unignore him.

Then speak his posts out loud in the voice of Alan Partridge.

So funny.

how is it in ROI these days

what’s funny is people on this forum justify supporting an admitted Ira sympathiser on the basis he claims to have a left wing viewpoint

This guy says something similar to what you've said there.

That bombing hospitals is trying to goad and provoke the West for his domestic audience

Speak of ROI - they have announced a substantial fuel duty cut to help out their population with their own cost of living crisis.

I’m amazed that Boris lad man of the people hasn’t done it yet.

Wait… no, I’m not surprised at all. Only today at PMQ’s he once again confirmed he’s not a man of the people. Imagine having voted to scrap VAT on energy bills in 2016 only to find out that it doesn’t matter how difficult things get he isn’t going to scrap it. Complete conman.

What a cnut

Says a Tory MP who was born on 24 January 1972 in Warsaw and who came to Britain with his mother, Halina Kawczynski, at the age of six. Literally no shame.

What is it with these Tory MPs who are immigrants or are children of immigrants that are so nasty and unwelcoming to any immigrants now? Hypocrites.

The definition of a man who pulls up the ladder that helped him so no-one else can benefit.

Also claimed a large amount of expenses for language lessons that were actually in his mother tongue.

Absolute grifting c**t

Kawaczynski is a total wanker.

He's pro Saudi Arabia and was begging them for work/money to pay school fees.

What age does this guy think we’re living in. He’s talking like they’ll have to walk back leading a horse and kart with all your worldly belongings. You can fly to Kyiv from the UK in less time than you can fly to the Canary Islands for a fortnights holiday. The moronic excuses they come out with are immoral.

If it were possible to enforce a no fly zone without risking the house we'd have done it by now.

Totally agree. No doubt the Russians will deny it's them and blame the Ukrainians.
It's utterly inhumane and doesn't serve any strategic purpose whatsoever. Its killing for the sake of it.
And yet we do nothing , simply because of the veiled threats of nuclear war on anyone who wishes to stop them invading. So we let it go on.
Sooner or later there will be another atrocity against civilians , and then another. Why ? Because Putin has seen that NATO will do nothing. Because its easy to bomb everything and everyone to achieve his goals quickly rather than act in a way that perhaps is strategically more challenging but reduces the risks to civilians.
You're right. We need to play him at his own game . We arm Ukraine to the hilt and deny we are doing anything. We fly aircraft in to drop humanitarian supplies to civilians areas.
We warn the Russians of the consequences should they try and shoot the aircraft down. We make them accountable for their actions. At the moment they are accountable for nothing.

What we allow in Yemen and Syria and Palestine and before in Bosnia and Rwanda is a stain on our shared humanity. There is no excuse - we have so much potential but are bunch of greedy twats without any morals

The world is f*cked up

If it were me, I wouldn't trade with Russia and I wouldn't trade with China and I wouldn't with the likes of Saudi Arabia either.

Money makes the world go round though.

Good points. I remember telling someone I was not going to resort to violence and the git biffed me. Lesson learned. I looked for him That was 2 years ago.

I guess he should have told me he was hide and seek champion.
