It was a genuine question. The amount spent on weapons from other countries has been published but I can’t find the UK figures.

Theyd sent 2000 anti tank weapons before the Russians invaded along with special forces which id assume were to train Ukraine forces to use them and give them some tactical help on where best to deploy them.
This was before the invasion.
Boris and the UK were ahead of the game whilst Macron was waving around a promise from Vlad.

Have a look at Christo Grozev's twitter. He thinks it's genuine and has a strong background in Russian journalism including some work on the Salisbury poisonings that uncovered some previously unknown suspects

They’ve made promises. Boris’ promises are as worthless as the IOU’s Harry and Lloyd put in the suitcase in Dumb and Dumber but he has made them. His word is his bond. Ask any of his ex wives, mistresses, girlfriends, children, employees etc etc.

‘We’re just performing military excercises. We have no intention in invading Ukraine’.
People are dying in their thousands on both sides.
Slightly different from getting someone pregnant and leaving your wife/girlfriend as poor a show as it is.

This was fact checked by the BBC the other day.

Johnson claimed it was 'hundreds' but the reality was it was 15.

Plus they aren't enforcing most sanctions immediately. They're giving oligarchs a months notice. And if in that month the oligarchs take their assets out of the uk, well the government are going to be really really cross with them.

Er PVA sent a graph showing a bloc to show its number of sanctions - so as a bloc that’s what they send over - are you happy with that?

“Even previously sceptical Tory MPs have speculated that the crisis could prove to be Mr Johnson's 'Falklands moment' – a reference to the 1982 war which transformed Margaret Thatcher's political fortunes.

The analogy is enhanced by the fact Mr Johnson has moved his daily 8.30am briefing from his No 10 study to Thatcher's old office on the floor above.

It means that Mr Johnson and his inner circle of six key advisers are dissecting the conflict under the steely painted gaze of the Iron Lady.”

The main difference between Thatcher and Boris, of course, being that she wasn't ever considered a security risk by members of her own government.

MoD understandably won’t release what’s specifically been provided but by all accounts and from Russias reaction you can assume it’s probably pretty significant. Training and military support has been going on for a long time

Not at all. We’re in nato so it’s kind of irrelevant. I’m not sure why people want to try to downplay what we’ve been doing to support the Ukraine military, especially before the invasion. It’s bizarre

It’s the measure of the man. And according to grendull something that happened 10-20 years ago is the most important thing. Besides that we aren’t leading the way on sanctions like he keeps claiming, it’s just more hollow words from Boris as per usual. The UK through being the world’s capital for money laundering, through the golden VISA scheme which has allowed over 2500 oligarchs a British passport with little due diligence is in a unique position from almost any other country if not any other country to hand out sanctions yet far from leading the world (which is absolutely 100% within our gift for the reasons I’ve already stated) we’re dragging behind. Tomorrow is going to be the most important day in parliament for decades. The opposition is tabling amendments to legislation meaning we can act on Boris’ promises now not in 18 months. Hopefully Boris takes that opportunity.

Even the Financial Times is reporting on the Conservative Party's ongoing issue with Russian donations.

How can anyone not be genuinely suspicious about this level of funding to the Tory party and the apparent slowness of our application of sanctions.

Conservative party co-chair Ben Elliot raised nearly £2mn of Moscow-linked donations
