Surely it’s the situation that has no grey area. Russia invaded under a false pretext and Ukraine is willing to stand against that. It really is no more complicated than that.

Because it's highly left wing and so MAGA dickheads are obviously not going to trust it. But it's not an article written by the site, it's a post from a blogger.

Read the article and see if you can have a sensible discussion though. After all that's what you keep saying you're here for.

Yes I must have. Sorry it’s hard to keep up with you all wanting a piece of me.

In the context of this war? Clearly the USA are ‘goodies’. And I use inverted commas because that is your phrase, not mine.

China, although clearly aligned with Russia, haven’t, as far as I’m aware, directly contributed to the war in any way.

In terms of Sq KM its about the size of Scotland - so yeah just tiny

In % of the UK its around the sames as the South West and Wales - so yeah I guess if Russia occupied all the South West and Wales we'd be thinking "its only 17% of the country"

Of which they walked into 12% of that unchallenged due to corruption in the Ukrainian military. So in reality they're holding about 2% of what they have actually fought for since 2022.

War is over when Russia leave ukraine and give back all the land stolen.
Its the only solution its the only outcome.

Back Ukraine and gain security for Europe and the world for at least another 25 years while sending 0 troops in.

win win.

As for the Slovak new president he is scum like Orban. Criminals who work together. Orban pushed thousands of refugees into slovakia even by me everything I went over I to slovakia the past few weeks there was always immigrants being caught, now elections are over I can gsrentee I won't see another there for years.

Corruption is a bit harsh. Ukrainian military (and everyone else) was expecting a massively armed, competent invasion force so they calculated what & where they could defend with what they had at the time. Much of the focus was obviously on the large force that came down from Belarus towards Kiev.
Tactically questions have to be raised why they didn't destroy more bridges etc leading out of Crimea and elsewhere in the South to slow down the advances.
Much of the land taken in the Southern interior is sparsely populated agricultural land so has little military value. Looks big on the maps but not much there.

They literally removed the defence from the south, allowing easy movement north from crimea, was already announce that the person who was in charge of the South at the time was investigated on corruption charges. They didn't meet any resistance until kherson. And mariopol of course.

Yes it is mostly farming land but that still makes up like 10% of the land they have taken since full scale invasion.

Perhaps I am wrong perhaps I am not but Mt source is Denys debrove or what ever his name is from youtube he mentioned it many months if not over a year ago.

Wasn't that what happened in Crimea.

Do that and give Russia land give it a couple of years for Putin to stock back up and it all starts again, as it basically says if you invade another country you end up with more territory out of it. It'd be like giving a kid trying to steal a tray of cakes one of the cakes as a way to tell them off.

Correct. There is no negotiation with Putin. Any attempt to negotiate will be seen as a sign of weakness.
Putin has moved his priority from an illegal war of genocide against Ukraine to a priority of exhausting the West.
At the same time, he hopes that the criminal regime in Peking will openly support him. Wow, it’s like cutting and pasting text from 1984.
Russia would be more than happy with a frozen conflict in Ukraine; this would stop Ukraine from joining NATO and the EU. A victory in Ukraine and/or a splintering of the West would give Putin a chance to threaten the Baltic States etc etc.

Russia but more importantly, China are significant threats to us. Sadly, lots of people still can’t see it.

Nevertheless, Ukraine faces a long, difficult struggle against the fascist forces of Putin. We shouldnt forget that Russia was allied to the Nazis in 1941. Russia does not have a history of democracy or even a democratic struggle. It has no history of a mass movement against tyranny. All Russia and Russians understand is government by a tiny minority and they are happy to acquiesce to that.

Let’s negotiate with this guy.

Marina Ovsyannikova: Anti-war Russian journalist sentenced in absentia

Maria Ovsyannikova, who protested live on air against the invasion of Ukraine, gets more than 8 years in jail.

He seems a reasonable well balanced man.

Not sure that’s even remotely true. According to World Press Freedom index Russia is currently ranked 164 in the world where Ukraine is ranked 79. According to those rankings they have press freedoms better than countries like Malta, Israel, Greece Thailand and a whole host other countries that you would expect to have more press freedoms than Russians. The UK ranks 26, Italy 41 and I’m sure you’ll be pleased but not surprised to know that Ireland ranks 2nd.

I wasn’t and as you didn’t mention Saudi Arabia in your reply to my post I don’t know what else you were expecting me to think.

Although I suspect that our opinions on Saudi Arabia and should we be supplying them with military support are probably identical. I’m a solid no.

However you can’t compare the support of Ukraine with the support we give to Saudi Arabia. Giving concessions to Russia would be more inline with giving support to SA.
