I am but as an award winning journalist I will bow to your opinion. What’s the gig at the weekend? Best Coronation Chicken Sandwich at the Basildon Womens Institute?

Surely if you’re at war it’s not a terrorist attack?

That’s my take on it as well. Russia deserves a big taste of their own medicine.

May 3, 2023 - Russia-Ukraine news

Russia claimed Ukraine attempted to assassinate President Vladimir Putin by flying two drones toward the Kremlin overnight. Russia said Putin was not in the building at the time of the attack. President Volodymyr Zelensky denied his country's involvement as other officials accused Moscow of a...

one man's war is another's terrorist attack. Wonder how they categorise their attempts to take out Zelensky in the first days of the invasion. But this is Putin who said about the iraq war (paraphrase) any military intervention without UN approval is an illegal act.

Sounds like it could possibly have been partisans in Moscow.

Either way, it's going to shit Putin up. A man so paranoid he uses 40ft long tables to stay as far away from people as possible will not take his residence being targeted by explosives very well.

It looked a bit too shit to be actual Ukrainian forces.

So either partisans or a false flag I'd say

Like someone else has pointed out it looks like a firework. Ukraine has effective drones long range drones capable of doing serious damage. This wasn’t one of them.

Russia is now blaming the US for the attack on the Kremlin. Just laughable. It’s clear that the damp squib was either a false flag or a homegrown attack. The US has obviously denied it so it will probably our fault tomorrow.

Conflicting reports coming out from Bakhmut that Ukrainian army has made major gains. Ukraine confirming it, Russia denying it but Wagner group apparently confirming it also saying Russian soldiers abandoned their positions and Ukrainian soldiers just moved forward, wasn’t even a counter offensive as such. Can’t see Wagner group staying in this fight much longer at this rate, there’s clearly issues and a major falling out brewing. If Wagner group do one Russia is even more fucked than it already is.

I wonder how many Ukrainians who originally backed Russia in 2014 now regret it. Where they are can’t be what they were expecting either.

It’s a bit of a curveball. Certainly a valuable diversion. 2 helicopters shot down last night.

How many of them? Ex Wagnerites Amongst them? Who knows?

Would seem a high risk strategy considering it's Russians attacking Russians. Could just as easily encourage others to defy/resist the govt.

That was my initial thought but then I remembered that there’s been nothing remotely rational or well thought out when it comes to Ukraine from Putin so who knows. Putin is a fruit loop.

On a serious note though, is it possible that this is the start of a civil war in Russia? It only takes a small spark to light a dry tinderbox.

I don't think so, not yet anyway.

It's incredibly embarrassing for Putin though and will hopefully make some of the population think about how the 'special operation' is really going.

Also shows that all of Russia's special forces and rapid response units are dead.

Seriously screwed minds. Nuke Alaska, recruit more paratroopers and tell imprisoned doctors and nurses that the should ‘volunteer’ to assist in Ukraine war.

The majority of Ukranian citizens do not want peace talks:

How Ukrainians feel about Russia and its citizens? We have never been brothers

Is reconciliation with Russia possible? What do Ukrainians think about negotiations with the aggressor? How do they communicate with their relatives from Russia? Results of the Razumkov Center poll commissioned by ZN.UA
