anyone else watched this new comedy from ben elton...probably the worst thing i have ever watched .. it is so bad

I watched the first one and thought it ok. Bit predictable, too similar to blackadder and trying too hard for laughs. Wasn't sure about the David Brent clone character. But it was ok. I liked some of the play on words on how Elizabethan English and 21st century English differ. Thought it might grow on me after a few episodes though you clearly thought the second episode awful.

Agree it is terrible. Been watching proper comedy lately Rising Damp and Fawlty Towers now they were funny !

Steptoe and son has been on again on gold
The "And so to bed episode " is brilliant. I've seen it a few times but it still makes me laugh

Did they use the same sets as Blackadder II, as well as the same gags?
Can't stand Ricky Gervais at the best of times, but the parody of him is even worse!
Saw Episode 1, but won't be revisiting!

Just watched episode 2 on catch up...not evan as good as the first. The Marlowe character seemed a poor mans flash (Rick mayall).
