There's been plenty on here debating the pros and cons of relegation and staying up.
These debates get long winded and end up becoming unclear.

So lets put opinion to bed. Nail your flag to the mast now.

YES, NO or DON'T KNOW.

Lets see where the percentage lies shall we...?

I agree with what PWB says. I think the recent results have handed the advantage to the likes of Forest, Donny and Bristol. We had it in our grasp and couldnt take it. Those results more than anything mean we rely on others if our results away do not improve significantly, despite having to play Donny and Bristol

Will be very happy for my vote and head to be proven totally wrong

Me too.

Form has improved since Xmas, before that I was rock solid sure we were screwed. If only we could start picking up an away point or so.. its been made to seem like an impossible task, it isn't.

For the record I'm in the 'don't know' category.

No one has to state where they stand just answer the poll.

Pretty much in agreement with OSB/PWB. Reluctant to completely throw in the towel, but away form needs to turn sharply for survival to be realistic-do I see that happening? Probably not.

Before last night I thought we'd stay up but now that we didn't win I think we're down

Why are we nailing people down to "Don't know"? Nothing to judge by it other than a what do you think will happen at this point in time. I would say "yes" and "no" are ample for this.

It always amazes me that people vote on tv polls for don't know. At least here you can do it for free, but who on earth spends money to say "I'm not sure"? This is one of the many irrational thoughts I have about the general public which I know will contribute to my 'early grave'.

It's an obvious option Rob. You either believe they are down or will stay up OR you are still not sure either way which is the 'Don't knows'.

...yeah actually see what you are saying. But lets not get so pedantic. There are many fans who if they are not sure would then have to vote 'NO'. That seems a little unfair to do that as it is not how they feel this week. the poll last til Friday deliberately to garnish opinion now. I really can't call it so would have to be a 'don't know' this week.

Ive gone YES.

Ive thought yes since before the season started, and probably for the past 5 seasons. But that hasnt stopped me keeping my fingers crossed, and hoping and praying. We will see.

If we win on Saturday people will be saying, it is back in our own hands again and everyone will be optimistic about our chances. Still a few twists left before the end of the season and I still think it could go either way, I voted don't know.

Can't see us getting a point a game for the rest of the season, when we only have 29 from 35 games so far.

Yes - sadly enough I believe we will be, everytime we've had a chance to climb out of trouble we haven't grabbed it, don't see that changing soon...boo...

Not really, since Christmas day we have picked up 16 points from a possible 36 and a cup defeat.....

So we have picked up 16 points in 12 games? Extrapolated across a season that is 61 points, is that not reasonable form?
It was before christmas that really screwed us over, I seem to remember us having played about 20 odd games and only having 12-13 points.

That would be terrific form, but it is the nature of the form that is so troublesome. A freakish home win streak including wins based on penalties, all away losses. If it was more evenly spread across home and away then there would be room for optimism; but surely anyone who has to bet would say that the home form will tail off before the away form improves, bringing us back to that point average.

Why is our home winning streak "freakish"? And here we have the "yes, we won but.." thing I was talking about. It obviously annoys you.

Overwhelmingly going down then?

Yet what's interesting is we have so many who think Thorn's doing a great job?

When do you accept he is not and when do you accept it's not all SISU's fault?

I think we've left ourselves too much to do, however, ever the optimist - a win against either Brum or Watford will give us a glimmer of hope.

Staying up..
Never over until it's over. Where's your blitz spirit? Coventry people stayed positive even when the city had the biggest air raid in history. Your forefathers are turning in their graves!

Nah, the only thing that annoys me is the likelihood of CCFC going down. Turf battles mean nothing (as much as you'd like to start one), because we'll all be suffering at the end of the season.

The home form is freakish because we averaged 0.9 points per game in the first 11 home games, and are now averaging 2.28 points per game in the seven games following that. That's a hell of a jump, yet is coupled with a 10-loss away run. In a season full of constants, that is the one freakish exception. That is obvious.

It is too close at the bottom to call. If you vote how you think then we are either down or staying up. If you vote as you know as a fact then you don't know. Does everyone agree or should we have a vote on it?
