Even loan players should be motivated. It's not like the signed players are supporters of the club or anything like that so loan or not it's still not a good thing to have on your CV.

No need to worry.

We're constantly being told that Swindon have five loans, so I guess that we're just about to make our late run for the play offs.

Tuesday night had a feeling of relegation . We simply cannot win matches and if the next 10 games go the same way as the last we will , at some point, drop into the relegation zone. Whether that will be the case right at the end who knows.

The answer is simple, sack Pressley.

The reality is, we continue you to be stripped down cost wise at every opportunity, except in the managerial dept. but even then do we know the details of his contract? I somehow still think we'll scrape up but I doubt SISU care either way ?!

It's the championship season all over again. We are going down unless we sack SP. Simple as that for me

Agreed. And what's worse is that the championship relegation squad had relegation written all over it, the current squad should be good enough for lower midtable at least in this league.

That's a very good point. Many of us could see at the start of that year that we would be relegated. As you have said, this squad should be at least lower mid-table, and it's why I'll hold no truck with the Pressley apologists.

I dream of seasons when between Feb-May, we're talking off play off/promotion potential. My life has been filled with CCFC relegation scraps. Pretty much every f£&king year.

Unfortunately at this point, it's not just down to us. The teams below us have shown that they are up for the fight. We have not. There isn't even a glimmer of hope so far that we are up for the fight. SP is in dream-land and he does not seem capable of motivating the players or choosing the right formations or tactics to get the best from the players. I'd have to says it seems more likely we will go down than survive.

I think the OP asks a good question and sadly I think we don't have a squad who are either capable of taking on the battle or as pointed out have the need to take on the battle.

Not only are we not up for it sp and all the local media are in denial of how bad we are and if we arent honest about how rubbish we've been where's thd motivation to try and find answers as to how to improve

How can you expect players to be "up for the fight" if fans aren't?

The fact it is their career and they are paid relatively well for starters. I'm sure there will be more reasons.

And we're back to blaming the fans for the clubs demise again :claping hands:

Actually no, it was just a question. You can take anyway you want though.

We have to take some of the blame though. If we consistently filled the Ricoh week in week out we would be in a nicer position than we are now. I'm fully prepared to take some of the blame.

That's true, but then there are few clubs that would be getting 32,000 week in and week out while in the bottom six of the third division.

I don't buy that for a second and clearly neither do the majority of our fan base. Full or empty the biggest problem holding the club back is still present.

Very true. But would we be in the bottom six of the third division if we'd filled the Ricoh for the last 8 or so years? There's no definitive answer obviously, but I'd say we wouldn't be. At the very least we'd be a more attractive proposition for anyone else to buy the club.

I very much doubt that we would, but we then get back to debating cause and effect.

If the ground was always full it would be no good for the players as most of them seem to bottle it in front of big crowds (Gillingham apart)

Think us fans must take some of the blame. Imagine if SISU announced monday morning they were off & sold the club. There is no way we would be back to pre-Sixfields attendances. People would just change the argument to im not going until SP is sacked.

We are move than capable of getting out of this mess but only the players know if they are giving 100%. Barnsley on 3rd will tell us all how much they want it, could be a must win game.

Exactly. I'm not saying it's the fans fault, of course, but if the players are coming out saying we need to stick together and fight then we should stick with them and fight too. Not having a pop at anyone who goes or doesn't for whatever reason.

And you have to ask yourself why? If we had owners who invested in the long term and the product on the pitch was good. Fans would go. We get neither so there's your answer
