Uncertainty to end (2 Viewers)

...when??

Does anyone know of a deadline that has to be met, i.e. the minimum guarantees needed by our owners, for the FL to allow us to start next season?

Or will the FL just let us start the season, with no guarantees at all?

no deadline

If we dont file accounts we continue in this embargo

If we do file accounts, we will then be in a self imposed embargo, like we have been for the past 2 years anyway

So the FL doesn't need a guarantee of funding until April 2013 to allow us to start the season?

It seems that at the football league meeting at the end of last month, the chairman of the football league must have said "Please raise your hands if your club is unable to complete next seasons fixture" - "OK no hands raised, Can we rattle through the rest of this agenda so we get to the prawn sandwiches"

I'm Still a little bit confused, too many Birthdays I suppose....BUT before the fixture list is announced, don't all the clubs in the league, have to provide accounts and proof that they guarantee that they are able to fulfil their obligation to the league, if I'm correct in my understanding, then, surely a deadline has to be set, for the clubs to affirm their intentions for the coming season. Technically, by defaulting on the rent for the stadium, we have in reality, made ourselves Homeless, and the council, will at some stage have to pursue the arrears through legal channels. All this Grubby Baggage, wont go unnoticed by the F.L, whose duty it is, to protect all clubs in the league.
Respect....Tankie.

Tank Top, I agree with your way of thinking, but a few people have looked into this and it indeed appears that there is no deadline and that we can start the season while still in this limbo...god help us

Don't know how the Football League works but in the local scene and it's been a while since i was involved but doubt it has changed much, your club pays a deposit which is forfeited if you pack in, so if your club carried on the next season that deposit rolled over and if it increased, which it always seemed to do, you paid the difference. The deposit was returned if your team packed in at the end of the season AND the league was informed in the correct manner. I assume the FL operate a similar system.

I have to admit that I'm so sick of the not knowing and current situation that I rarely even check the news now as if something big happens it will be in the media. If nothing big happens then my enthusiasm will be at an all time low for the beginning of a season. Maybe there are discussions going on behind the scenes but I severly doubt that anything is happening apart from SISU trying to reduce costs even further.
The largest out goings has to be the servicing of debt to the SISU group themselves - wages have drastically reduced - we aren't paying rent at the moment (so that in turn will probably incur interest)

Oh for some news that indicates things are going to change.

Are you sure about this?

Actually I read something in the FA rules recently. The restrictions & evidence needed for Championship clubs are much more stringent than for the lower leagues.

I'll be on the FA site somewhere..
