Said on the match thread if you can’t win that game then you’ve no business being in the Top 2 and I stand by that - Middlesbrough and Ipswich win that game 2 or 3 zip, red card or no red card

We are a club and squad that are a good chasing side, as has been proven the last few seasons but as pace setters we have proven we’ve not got the mettle

I'm not sure why we don't just behave like a chasing side, because ultimately that's all you are until you actually win

All comes from the top, needed to spend money in Jan and our owner spends it on some random winger who plays in a league nobody’s heard of. Oh but he keeps releasing more kits and stuff, guys a fucking disgrace but loves taking our money mind.

Why does he keep getting a free pass? He’s shown 0 ambition and ruined our season

We got control of the game, good. But then we failed to move the ball forward with any consistent sense of pace and purpose. We looked scared of making a forward pass at times. What was with those little lifted passes in lot the box the first half?. If someone was supposed to be there for them they must have nipped to the loo in that part of the game plan meeting. Trying to comfort myself with the clean sheet….

Oh I see it’s my fault is it?

Here was me thinking it was the players fault for being too pedestrian, or the managers fault for picking the wrong tactics, when all the while it was my fault. It’s so obvious to me now.

Well I must be punished then mustn’t I?

It was the way a player would get a foot in to break up something they tried, and then our lot would all stand there appreciating what their teammate had done instead of reacting and getting on the ball quickly.

I think the biggest insult is Esse doing all his fucking shit tricks and showboating when we’re at the lowest point of the season. Fucking wanker

He really pissed me off. Treating the game like it’s a training session. I get that loan players don’t generally give a shit about their temporary team, but at least pretend to care

I don't know where you sit but if you're in the corner then we're a part of it.

Players are people, they know the situation more than us. If we're quiet and nervous they will be

I'm not sure he made Wright miss a sitter and be offside at every chance.

Ironic really when you watched wright in the same game.

There was plenty more to be pissed off about, considering he created a good chance and was willing to have a shot.

Imagine how teams like bournemouth and fulham got promoted with some of the worst home atmospheres in the uk

I have been a long suffering fan for many years and some of our more horrendous home performances have ended up 0-0 against complete no hopers. I remember in 1978 when we came up against an absolutely useless and desperate Newcastle side who were beaten almost every week. It ended a depressing 0-0.
We managed a 0-0 against the worst performing Championship club in living memory Stockport County in 2002.
Probably the next worst Championship side ever, Rotherham we played at home in 2004 and could not put 1 past them either
More recently we ended up 0-0 at home against an abject Wycombe Wanderers side completely out of their depth.
Sadly we have a history of goalless draws against what should be regarded as home bankers against really poor teams.

Completely agree. All stemmed from not backing Lampard last summer and made worse by letting Sheaf go with no replacement. Then a January window best described as "odd".

Recruitment strategy is piss poor and stinks of trying to do it on the cheap until King is forced into a signing . I said before I dont thing King is that bothered about promotion, he would love it ofc but he isnt able/willing to risk the investment that push would require. Now he has the stadium i wouldnt be surprised to see him move the club on in the summer.

If we had invested in the summer we probably dont hit the wall to the extent we have done in the last couple of months.

It’s all good though mate, you’ll get the same usual bellends piping up soon saying he’s so amazing and don’t be so selfish because of when sisu were in charge. The guy isn’t immune from criticism and the fact he’s fucked up the best chance of us going up in years

Interesting that Ipswich have lost to Oxford this season and boro drew the away game, they play them at home the week after us.

Let’s wait and see what the Middlesbrough result is. If it’s 4 points from the 2 games it’s acceptable. If it’s 1 point gained against Oxford who had 10 men for 20 odd minutes from the 2 games it’s unacceptable.

Surely if Onyeka was fit enough for the bench, he should have got some minutes today? Given he will be expected to play against Boro, it would have been sensible to get him on and see how he goes.
Maybe Lampard isn't the Elite Tactitian people were making him out to be.

Joe Edwards used to be Millwall manager and made them very hard to beat, perhaps Frank should be taking advice from him?

Disappointed to see this result. On the face of it Lampard has been messing with the line up too much imo. I said before we must get the same 11 that propelled us to the top in style back on the pitch once injuries & suspensions were out of the way. Surprisingly he has not done that. Asante must come in, EMC must come in. Rudoni is not a fit in the side ATM, and we played great without him during that successful spell. That's what clicked. The only improvement we needed was a flank for the hard working Grimes, and we just got him (Oneyki) but failed to even get a subs appearance a game away from Middleborough? Also thought changing the two CB's was a rash decision. Surprised by that as players will seem confused and start pondering about form. I agree Wolf was due a shot but no Thomas? He is big threat from set prices. Having messed with team selection today in such bizarre fashion looked suicidal, and almost could have been. It's also a time for a kick up the pants in a dressing room rant after match. We have not been good enough for several weeks now and it's alarming. No more excuses, remind everyone of.the prize at stake. Time for Lampard to not become the guy who starts so well but tail spins away...as at Derby & Chelsea.

Don't forget the 0-0 draw against Boltons under 11's in our League 1 promotion year
