Find the current reporting of the Situation and Slaughter going on there Perverse.

For months we've had rolling coverage of what Is basically a Mexican Stand off ,yet now people are dying in very significant numbers It becomes the 4-5th item In Priority.

Also worth Noting that The IOC has prohibited any Showing of Mourning /Sympathy /Empathy by Ukrainian athletes .

Finally EUFA has moved one of the games due to go ahead there to Cyprus ,yet Spurs fans are expected to travel for their game tomorrow.

Why Not In Poland who worked so well with them a couple of years back ,or more cheekily Not the RICOH?

Dnipro is miles from Kiev, although they may have had to go via Kiev to get there.

Worrying yet familiar scenes when It comes to the former Soviet Union.

I was in the old Czechoslovakia in July/Aug in 1968 in a large summer camp in Křižanov, situated in the Bohemia region. I was on a school exchange holiday for a month. The Soviet Union (as they used to be known) were sitting on the border just waiting to invade. Although the holiday was brilliant, it was a nervous time for us. Eventually, we returned to Prague for a few days in readiness to go back to the UK. Two days before our scheduled flight, we woke up in our hotel rooms to see Soviet tanks rumbling along the streets of Prague. We were very quickly ushered out to the airport with an escort which had been sorted by the British Consulate. We were bundled on the plane and flew back home. I can see the Russians doing the same to Kiev.

They didn't interfere with Czechoslovakia in '68. No-one did. They were left on their own.

Very tricky situation.

The right thing to do would be for the Nato alliance to help in defending Ukraine.

However the right thing to do could easily escalate into a Nuclear exchange and we'll all be dead.

Whatever happens, I think its safe to say the cold war is back on.

Well Russia has always considered Ukraine to be its territory. Putin is also power mad and won't want to lose his influence in Ukraine.

The situation at the moment is very similar to Germany in the mid 30`s.

Back then Germany had suffered a humiliating WW1 defeat 20 years previously, which it was still hurting from. Much in the same way here Russia is still hurting from the Soviet Union break up 20 odd years ago.

Germany's defeat in ww1 had left millions of native Germans living outside Germany, the Soviet breakup left millions of Russians living in places like east Ukraine.

Germany invaded places like the Rhineland under the guise of protecting the Germans living there, pretty much the same excuse that Putin uses.

Unfortunately the Germans didn't know where to stop, it will be interesting to see if he Russians do.

You have to question the EU support and encouragement of the recent revolution when they stand Idly by . It's almost as though moves have been choreographed to keep the OldBoy there while SOCHI went unhindered by negative PR.
The failure of the West to back action in SYRIA has Emboldened Putin and the Soviets.
That was not necessarily wrong In Isolation. But a consequence Is A power wielding Putin.,

Would have been a strange scenario fighting alongside extremists had we have intervened.
In fairness due to the decimation of our brave armed forces we would be better off keeping our noses out. Little dog big bark
