The frustrating thing is that yet again Southgate has got lucky and England have a relatively 'easy' route to the semi final. Then you're just a couple of decent performances from winning the thing.

But obviously that doesn't matter if you can't win a game like this.

If we get knocked out today the FA will probably offer him a new contract on Monday.
