In general Portugal play very much like England, too slow moving the ball and often make too many passes that really aren't needed

Feel for the Czechs there.

Ronaldo has had a stinker tonight

Czechs deserve it. To coin a phrase, they've cucked all game. How can you get away with conceding that late, get disallowed, and still end up gifting the opposition a goal.

Centre back needs investigation. Fucking shite.

Czech creators of their own downfall, both avoidable goals to concede

Funny that the 3 favourites France, England and Portugal have all got off to slow starts. International football is just slower and the priority is to not concede goals (imo).

You don’t win anything on the first day. The most impressive teams from Matchday 1 is Spain and then Germany. I don’t fancy either of them to win the tournament.

Thought France were pretty decent and should have won by 2 or 3 more than they did , counter very fast and looked very dangerous, Portugal massively deserved their win yesterday

England were poor , but you take the 3 points

Yeah France looked good but, bizarrely, weren’t clinical enough. Portugal also looked very handy but Czechia did literally nothing.

England weren’t great but it’s just about getting the clean sheet and the 3 points and a platform to grow into the tournament.

Personally, I expected more from France because Austria are a team that press aggressively and there will be space to exploit. The only real clear cut chance they made was Mbappe’s 1v1 miss. Like us, it’s a tough game to start and it’s more important to just get the win and clean sheet.

Their speed was an asset, agreed - if we face them in the tournament we will need Kyle Walker at his best!

The one thing I’m slightly comforting myself with is that we never looked like conceding. Plenty of areas to improve on though. Fully expecting a cagey draw v Denmark as that has tended to be Southgate’s way - guarantees us through and puts us in pole position to finish top. Denmark would likely also be happy with a point knowing that a win v Serbia puts them through.

All I ask is that when it’s a dour 0-0 just remember that.

I’ve predicted 1-0 in the ITV predictor app and feel a 0-0 would be a great shout had Denmark won against Slovenia.

Denmark probably need a draw going into the final game v Serbia.

Wouldn't mind being a fan of an Albania, Romania or Turkey. They won't win anything anytime soon but they play with much more freedom and are much more fun to watch

Albania aren’t a bad little side, were unlucky not to knick a draw with Italy and have had more shots on target than Croatia.

They also don’t seem to have one standout star player like most smaller nations do. Would love if they made it out of the tournaments group of death (does that even exist anymore with so many teams going through now?)

Great touch and finish but feel for Albania, really wanted them to win this, or at least get a point. Not sure they will now.

Momentum is a motherfucker, feel for Albania such an unlucky goal to concede

Never a foul on the Albanian 7
