Our U-23s could beat the real Ipswich Town.

How long will it be before everyone starts declaring Bremang the 'best natural finisher at the club'?

He's not a human being, he's a superhero. David Bremang goal scorer extraordinaire - Chelski can have him for £140m, and we can buy out the Wasps. Premier League here we come.

What it means for Sky Blues 23s after beating league leaders

Didn't realise the U23's were doing so well in their league. Can't throw them into the deep end too soon obviously but I'd love to see Hickman and Bremang get some first team action next season.

Have heard good things about Hickman, but really think he needs to start getting first team football.

Interview with Farndon has been talking about summer recruitment for the U23. Although obviously I want us to be looking at recruiting improvements to the squad at whatever age but I think we've invested very heavily in U23 this year and we really need to see most of those in the first team fold next season to do that again. If not we need to concentrate on first team (especially as we'll be losing some loanees and possibly a few on free's as well.). I thought recruitment for the U23 was supposed to come mainly from the academy?

Also noticed he said they were looking at converting Lewis Green to CB from RB. Seems slightly odd to me given we already had Thompson and have since got Williams and Drysdale (and Ford but I'm assuming he's going to be released). Plus Hyam in the first team, the guy from Ayr coming in and possibly one of Willis or Davies. Yet at RB Sterling will go back to Chelsea and we're left with Grimmer (out of contract so may not be here) and Hickman.

If I'm honest I was expecting Green to be released as well.

I'm not sure we'll see a similar amount of investment in the U23's this summer as we did in the last. If I remember correctly the reason why we invested so heavily in the U23's last summer was because there was a serious shortage in the development squad. Not sure what the reasoning was for this, probably because we solely relied on the U18's and lower stepping up in previous seasons (which is realistically a small pool to pick from). We'll probably see a few come in but nowhere near the amount as last summer as I can't see too many being moved on.

Hickman I've heard good things. He had a loan end of last season and 2 months at the start of this but I'm pretty sure he came back at his own request because he didn't feel he was learning anything...

Hopefully Hickman's been watching Sterling closely over the past few months. If towards the end of the season and we've nothing to play for MR might just give him a few games in place of Sterling or off the bench to get him some experience looking towards next season. He really does need to be competing for that first team space next season.
