Lost 3-2. Feisty game with Finnegan getting sent off. Our goals were scored by Will Bapaga and Abel Alabi, who is a beast of a centre-half.

Does the centre-half look anywhere near being ready for the first team squad? He's a year older than Doyle.

I think he looked more than capable. He leads the line well, wins headers and threw himself in the way of the ball to block a shot at one point. Took his goal well too. A header from a corner. He's big too.

Abel is September 2003. Had an injury near end of last season and a concussion in a pre season game a few weeks back. Think he needs more games for the time being.

Also difficult to compare to a lad that has come through a top academy. Development rates are different, particularly when there is such a disparity in the footballing education.

Ready to move into that Pask backup CB role? Mould him into the next Fadz? Sorted.
