U23s draw 4-4 away at Forest in another high scoring game. Devon Kelly-Evans, Jordan Ponticelli, Kyle Finn and Bilal Sayoud with the goals. Forest score a pen with the last kick of the game

Well done to our U15s who got through the group stages of the Premier League tournament today without conceding a goal.

4-0 v Burton
2-0 v Walsall
6-0 v Bristol City

A lot of good work going on at the moment. @Scottydr or anyone else attend?

Chay Thompson joins the Academy as Assistant Youth Development Coach from the Strachan Football Foundation. He was previously coaching our U14s last season I believe. It is good to see young and local coaches getting opportunities as well as players

Billy Stedman and Bilal Sayoud with the goals. No Bayliss, Kelly-Evans twins, Ponticelli, Maycock and Shipley. 16-year-old Morgan Crowther started in attack

4 wins and a draw from opening five

The U23 manager is doing an excellent job. Think both KE brothers will be in the squad tomorrow. Looking forward to Dion getting his chance again.

Is this Morgan Crowther good enough for the first team?

Charlie McCann from the U16s has been sold to Manchester United according to the CT. Was with England U16s this summer. Bit of a shame not to hang on to him but can't begrudge him a move to Utd

I see our first team, U23's & U18's all playing today! Must be near enough 50 players being used today! I wonder how under strength the 18's will be?

It doesn't usually happen like that does it? It's usually the U23s in the week and the First team and kids at the weekend.

That way if things like when biamou get injured they can call Ponticelli up to the bench.

U18s lost 2-1 to Sheffield Wednesday. Lautaru with the goal. 4 U16s playing. U16s without the ones who stepped up to the 18s beat Wednesday 3-1

Most second year 18s travelling to Hull for the 23s game with likes of Maycock, Dev-Kelly-Evans, Bayliss, Ponticelli and Thompson not being available. 5pm at the KC right after their game

Lots of opportunity for players to play above their age groups.

Nice bloke Chay, good luck to him!
He coached my kids for a bit at the Strachan Soccer school in its early days, when it did Thursday nights in Rugby, before it became the foundation.

Plenty of news.

U23s lost 2-1 to Hull at the KC earlier. 16 year old striker Morgan Crowther scored the goal. 8 U18s involved.

After qualifying for the group stages, our U15s been drawn in a group with WBA, Swansea and Cardiff in the Premier League Floodlit Cup. We play each team once home and away in the evenings under floodlights

The Academy are also launching their own YouTube channel to bring fans closer to the action, highlights interviews etc.

Were their first team at home? If so, love that idea. Play a 23's or youth game after the first team. More fans to watch the youth players and a chance to get used to playing in front of crowds (even if relatively few stay)

Under 16's win again beating Birmingham city 3-1 , good team performance, no 9 for city looked a real handful, lots of promising youngsters in this group

Is that in the Academy section in the programme? Maybe it'd be a good idea for someone to post it up every week, I'll try to when I get to the games but don't get to many as I like because I'm away at the weekends

Them 3 you mentioned all have their scholars

For the U18s and 16s? Palace away on Saturday. Next home game is Millwall on 7th October. Might be something before then though as the U15s are in the group stages of the PL Floodlit Cup which I posted about a week ago
