Ponticelli on 3 goals now in 3 games, Kwame Thomas also on 3 goals in 3.

Kwame could still play a big part in the team I feel this year if he continues this run of form.

3 out of 3 for the U23s, played the last 10 minutes with 10 men because of Kwame injury. Majority of last years U18 side who dominated their league now performing well and winning games at the level up with probably the youngest squad in the league.

3 goals in 3 games for Ponticelli. Hopefully might get a start against Shrewsbury on Tuesday with Kwame seemingly injured again

You've got to feel sorry for the lad, luckless isn't he. I think he could be a decent asset for us if he gets fit.

I would send Beavon along to watch he might learn how a real striker plays getting in the box and doing something alien to him shooting.

Yes and no. I've said before I believe we're missing a clinical striker as we've got workers up front, nowt wrong with that as long as they chip in with a few goals too.

Kwame would score more if he could get on the field regularly, when did Beavon last score a league goal?

I dunno when he last scored, I sense he may have lost some confidence in front of goal perhaps?

I think he has forgotten where they are, I think he spends too much time working and then is never in the box when the ball comes in.

Beavon's last league goal was the last day of February v Bury. I agree Kwame Thomas will score more than Beavon but they are two different types of players.

Beavon hasn't a cv of scoring goals so not sure why it's a surprise he's not here too but that's the role he plays and built a career in doing so in league one and two.

He's is useful asset to the team providing the 3 forward behind are all chipping in with goals. If they are not then naturally the side has issues, and you'd be right to reconsider his starting place in the side for another striker who has a different approach and style of play to be leading the line.

U18s go down 2-0 away at Barnsley in their second game. Seeing the effects of a strong second year group moving on, lacking a focal point in attack. Sheffield United who we played in the National Final last year have also lost their opening two games.

U16s score six for the second consecutive week - 6-2 winners against Barnsley. Believe Ngandu got a hat-trick in 45 mins before coming on for the 18s at HT. Won't be long before some of these lads are starting in the 18s

U16s have beat Hull City 6-1, Barnsley 6-2 and MK Dons 7-0 in last three games. No Ngandu, McCann and B.Rowe in MK Dons game today and still beat a very good set-up in MK Dons convincingly

Keep it quiet but we've got a very good group here. Majority Cov lads too but a couple outside of the area.

Few on here who view this thread will have already seen them play be interested to hear other opinions

Keep it quiet lol , have been watching this age group for many years , it's no secret about the players they have in the squad , have had many people ask me about getting contact details for various players in this age group

Welcome to the forum, always good to have another contributor in this thread. Who do you rate the most from this group seeing as you get to see them play a lot? I think the plan is to get some of these lads in the 18s as quickly as possible as they're currently excelling in their own age group. Ngandu has been involved with 18s since he was U13, would have been rubbing shoulders with Maddison, Stevenson, Harries, Sambou etc. at that age which is pretty surreal but also shows the opportunity available at this club if a player is good enough

I think you meant to quote my post with your post rather than quoting it?

If you just copy and paste that then type your response after the quote it should work I think. You've just quoted my post atm with no response unless that's what you wanted to do

Yes they won 6-1 against Hull. The best or most well known players are the #5 and captain Blaine Rowe (part of England U15 training camp, played with 18s), Charlie McCann #7 or #8 (played twice for England U16s scoring once) and Jonathan Ngandu #10 (3 goals for 18s last season as U15, been part of 18s since U13 but few long injuries). Good all round team however these are the standouts. They managed to beat MK Dons 7-0 without them three though so I think there's a lot of quality in the 15s too.

16s and 18s local derby at home against Blues Saturday (11am)

23s away at Forest tomorrow (1:30pm)

Them 3 I named and about 6 more I think. The club takes about 8-9 scholars a year, I predict most of the current 16s will be signed on two year scholarships. The club has looked outside the area in recent years for a few because the U16s haven't been as strong in previous years

Wonder if Blane Rowe is related to a Rowe I used to know, he was ridiculously good at like Sunday League level.

Seen the 16's play on a few occasions, not seen much of the 3 mentioned presumably they were with the 18's but definitely 2 or 3 other very talented boys

How’s Sayoud getting on? I’d have expected him to either be around the squad or moved on by now.

Wonder if Dion Kelly Evans is in the squad for tomorrow again too?

No Shipley or Maycock, will they be resting from midweek?

Will be good to see how Ponticelli and Thomas work up front too.

2-0 up inside 40 mins. Devon Kelly-Evans with the first before Jordan Ponticelli netted his fourth U23 goal in as many games - he has surpassed his U23 tally from last season in just 4 games
