If there is anything more to the Irthlingborough story than brinkmanship, then we can only pause to consider whether those running SISU have gone mad. Nene Park has a capacity of 6,441 people and is comfortably up to standard to host League football. Coventry City, however, have around 6,000 season ticket holders. Unless we are to believe that every single Coventry City season ticket holder will renew, even if they have to make a ninety mile round journey for every single home match, then the club would face a drop in revenue from season tickets sales, and there is little indicate to the club could attract that many supporters to make this sort of journey. Average attendances have already fallen from an average of 15,118 last season to 10,569 so far this time around. If Coventry City can barely attract a five figure crowd to see them play at home in Coventry at the moment, how many people are going to regularly make that sort of journey every other week?

YEP! every game would be an away game, gates would not be enough to pay wages, so we get rid of all the players and sign non leagers, gates would fall again and we are now hosting..Bedworth UTD, Hinkley town, the Hare and Hounds, Hen and Chicks, and the Hen Lane Friggin Club.
SISU are employing some bright young things in the Tactical warfare office...Thats for sure??

Exactly the scenario for those fans wanting ACL to take City to the cleaners. What's the difference?

A very accurate piece and yet these boards are full of people who want SISU out even at the cost of starting again in the lowest levels of football. They should ask themselves what level of player they think we will attract when we have gates of only a couple of thousand.

ACL take City to the cleaners? The rent is high. We all agree. But it's SISU's administration that's seen relegation and gates that have dropped so dramatically leaving a £3m-a-season loss on gate receipts.

Yes, again, the high rent is a problem. But less of a problem than the lost fans and income SISU's ineptitude has delivered.

SISU or ACL being most at fault in taking the football club 'to the cleaners'? Let me think about that...
