According to my phone, we won the playoff final!
After taking just my son to Wembley the previous year, my daughter came as well this time.
Stayed with family near London for a great evening beforehand, met cousin and nephews on the day (after a family meal of pizza) - probably less beer than many of you, but we had a great day.
Looking at the photos, it did just seen sky blue all around Wembley....

Would you have thought in just two years we would be on the brink of being back in the championship?

Just watched the highlights from the day; surprised the level of emotion I felt watching them.

Incredible day and an amazing feeling after so many years of shit.

Notts County away is still the best game ever though!

Like TTG, was hopeful when we left Wembley. Kids thought we'd win league (though they haven't got years of disappointment / experience)....
Realistically, especially with the ongoing stadium/wasps issue, would have been happy to get into playoffs within the first couple of years.

Set off from Warwick station early doors, and 2 young lads were several cans into the day and looked like they'd been on it the night before. I got to Wembley and met a big group of mates from Leamington, old and young. Was just telling my mate and his son about the two lads I'd seen, saying how they'd be in a right state by kick off, when up they showed- good friends of my mate's lad. I got dobbed in for saying they'd be trashed (pretty much were) Had a great day. Mates, sun, few beers and a win.

I was at the checktrade trophy final atmosphere couldn't make the play off final. Which was the better atmosphere?

Much better seats second game and sang all the way through. The noise was deafening.
My daughter had spinal surgery on the checkatrade final weekend and I left her in intensive care for the final (with mum of course), however she came to the play off final so based on that the second game was better

I'd say the checkatrade was more of a party atmosphere as it was a day out at Wembley and the result didn't really matter. The playoff felt a lot more edgy in the first have and then elated afterwards.

We sat in the exact same seats, they are now our lucky Wembley seats and will make sure if we're there again to book them as soon as they come on sale.

I agree with liquid gold, the checkatrade was a good party atmosphere whereas the playoff was a bit more nervy (for me anyway!).

Yeah, the Checkatrade was a party atmosphere and the first real chance for a long time to win some silverware. I enjoyed it more than the playoff final - nerves were getting frayed!

Checkatrade was a party day.
Play off was a party, but the result way more important, so as somebody said earlier - more edgy.

Checkatrade was brilliant and because we were bottom of the league and utter shite but somehow saw off Oxford who at the time were flying. It was bloody nervy that last 10 mins was a horrible affair. Mind you I stood to win 1k on cov so I was terrffiied of a late equaliser because we were done and hanging on.

Final was a really horrible first half but the second Willis pinged that in, it just lifted everyone and shippers quick fire goal meant for a relaxed 2nd half although when they got one back I was still panicking wondering how we could possibly throw it away

What surprised me at the Chackatrade was the speed that the Oxford end emptied at the end of the match. I'm sure that if we had lost the SBA would have stayed on, still singing.

Losing finalists always feck off p.d.q after the final whistle. Not surprisingly, they wouldn't have wanted to hear 43,000 living it up, particularly as they had lost the final the previous year too.
Cant remember who it was on SBT who said it, (but the anecdote stays with me !), walking round outside afterwards, he got shouted at by an irate Oxford fan who said we were the worst team he'd ever seen. Obvious retort was 'and we just beat you 2-1 !' Lol
