Two players away from safety? (1 Viewer)

Having been at yesterday's match I would say we are two players away from being a competitive mid-table side:

1. A combative midfielder who is able to score 6-8 goals a season - I don't think Deegan is quite up to the job of doing this although I'd have brought him on yesterday. Someone like (but obviously younger versions!) Yusuf Safri or even John Eustace might do the job. Basically Clingan is being forced to shoulder all the responsibility in the midfield as he is surrounded by the inexperienced Thomas and the ineffectual Bell. He needs some extra support as the midfield is getting overrun and this is putting pressure on our defence.

2. Someone capable of scoring 8-10 as a striker and putting pressure on Juke and McDonald for their places. ROD and Platt are unlikely to manage 4-5 goals in an entire season and are not Championship standard players.Ideally we'd be able to offload them both and get a loanee in who was capable of being a bit more incisive up front.

With these two additions to the squad we should be ok but are SISU likely to cough up for these players? I'm very doubtful.
