i think they are the 2 blocks we should allocate for away fans, and get the rest of the south stand back for ourselves.

Can’t imagine that’s possible with the stadium layout in regards to turnstiles and access

Quite a lot of work would need to be done because one of the PL rules is you must have a TV Gantry.

Key 2025-26 Camera Rules & Regulations:
  • Gantry Dimensions: Minimum 19m wide by 2m deep.
  • Camera Coverage: Typically, 41 locations are planned with over 20 cameras used per match.
  • Pitch Access (New 2025/26): Camera operators are permitted on the field of play to capture goal celebrations.
  • Dressing Room Access (New 2025/26): Cameras are allowed in changing rooms, but clubs can refuse access if they are losing at the time of the request.
  • Interviews: In-match and half-time interviews with managers or substituted players are permitted, with specific limitations on timing and content.
  • Facility Requirements: Includes two hard-wired TV studios and five interview booths within the stadium
  • Promoted clubs must adhere to these standards to meet the requirements of top-flight broadcasting partners.

i was joking, but i do think we should shrink down the away allocation.
give them those 2 blocks, and the 2 to the left on the pic.
basically, squash them into the corner.

Is a tv studio necessary? I think it’s only ever the top 6 that have one when Sky show their games and the pundits are at the stadium. The others seem to take place from a London studio.

Sorry should have read this before. That said I don’t ever see them being used for Brighton or Brentford for example. Maybe just for an international audience?

The club already had to do some prep work for this in the play off season. A colleague of my brother's had to go there to do a survey.

Years back they used to do pretty much every game from the ground but it's not very common now. Think just the Sunday 4:30pm game and as that's the 'biggest' game of the week that won't be us very often.

Wasn't there a gym that overlooked the pitch when it first opened, is that the bit with the arrows on the first post? What's that now, I'd guess office space.

If we're closing off as much space for each camera as we do for the two they have for EFL games and there's going to be 20 of them we'll struggle to get all the season ticket holders in! That would be a fair amount of seats blocked off.

God the PL is a circus. I want to see us up there and playing the best in the world but half time interviews and cameras in the changing rooms…

I recall watching a programme about Ipswich Towns preparations for their forthcoming season in the prem and there was mountains of work needed to be done to bring Portman Road up to the required standard.

Would that be the case at the CBS?

There is a TV gantry at the back of block 20 all they have to do is build an enclosure around it with glass windows.

Would imagine anything is possible, with money. Not sure of requirements a few years ago, but Luton managed it in a very old ground.
Ours can certainly be adjusted to suit.
More importantly, what are the requirements for champions league, for 2027?
(Just kidding....).

I remember the Luton chairman saying that literally the second Dabo missed the penalty and before the trophy presentation he was electronically signing contracts and raising purchase orders on his mobile phone for construction to begin at Kenilworth Road.

I seem to remember a figure of £10m for their changes, although I think that involved what was basically a new stand.
