Would they like us to delay kickoff 15 minutes, give them more time to travel down?

Seems the decent thing to do.

No bring the kickoff forward to 11am, that would be even better

I wonder if they will have any security or anything around the statue?

That's where I can see some trouble. No doubt some of the twats would think of that as some sort of "status" for attention if they did something to it.

Maybe that's another reason for the early kick off as well.

I don’t get this alleged rivalry with Sunderland. I seen us play them several times at Highfield Road and once at the Ricoh (a 2-1 win with a wonder goal from Stern John of all people) and it felt no different to any other game, with no real chants about Jimmy Hill etc.

I feel like this one has been pushed by the snapchat and Coventry City fans forum brigade, who talk about Villa Away non stop when they weren’t even born the last time we played them.

I remember playing them at HR when they had just come down the Prem, I think. Their fans were immense and it was a sweltering hot day. Think we beat them 2.0 with a late goal from Suffo to seal it. Great game that was.

We played them on tv first game of the 06 season, watched it in a bar on holiday with my dad we weren’t wearing any colours about a dozen Sunderland supporters in there, gobby all the way through, they go one up 2nd half “easy this”, “it’ll be a cakewalk this division”, “ these are absolute s***e” 20 mins later Stern John eaualises, few minutes later McSheffrey winner, lots of whinging and moaning for the final 10 minutes, we win, theyre all sitting miserable in silence, me and my dad get up to go my dad big smile on his face “easy that!” “They were absolute s***e” and we walk out to rumbles of inaudible Geordie!

I think that was the game where Hutchinson came off the bench and changed it in our favour. Was John’s goal from just outside the area in front of the CT Stand?

Yeah curled it left footed in off the bar!
Think it was Niall Quinn who was in charge of them.
