Yes, I honestly think TM may go in for him. TM was full of praise for him while he was on loan here.
Ben turner is the perfect captain and leader we lacked this season

I'd love us to sign Ben turner but he has played less games in thr last 2 seasons than Reda so I would stay well clear

14/15 - 13 apps
15/16 - 6 apps

Looking at that and given the reason Reda was released we would be mad to sign Turner. We need someone who will play 35-40 games a season minimum.

That is a concern didn't no his appearance levels were as low as that.
A fit Ben turner would be a cut above at this level.

As I've said on the other thread, Dan Burn would be ideal. Young, tall, out of contract.

A fit Ben Turner would be playing above this level, as would Reda , that's the difficulty
isnt it , unearthing players who are both fit and at least good enough for league 1

It is tough finding them players but sometimes lesser ability in players can be made up for if they stay fit an create an understanding in a partnership or unit. I mean most clubs who have success have a very good back 5 including GK, they don't have to be the best players, but with games come's understanding, communication, trust in each others position and lastly confidence that all are doing the same thing.

The team can build off all these things and it create's a bond and a desire to win for each other for a common goal. We need players that are fit and able to play all season if needed or asked, those waiting for a chance have to create competition in training when not picked, then ultimately take a chance when given. By playing the same way the team structure is set with the same aim then if certain players are injured. Too much messing about create's confusion and misunderstanding of what the team are doing. Different players the same results is the key to being successful, TM suffered bad injuries in the CB position last season and it cost us badly.

Was his lack of games just die to injury though? With Reda being here we knew when he got injured and when he was back available and just not selected.

Do these stats reflect the same for Turner?

If you remember when we signed him he was just coming back off a massive injury lay off (its the only reason we managed to get him here, to get him fit).

So yes I think its was mostly due to injury.
