On the Cardiff forum it seems fairly unanimous that they think Turner is injury prone and should be got rid of ASAP.
Maybe it will work in our favour?

don't know where your getting that from. I've just read the Cardiff city fc forum thread about Ben turner and the overwhelming majority are saying exactly the opposite mate.?

It was a pained hobble... Turner looked "better" than Reda did if that is at all relevant.

Well we don't know how serious it is yet, I have gone over on my ankle several times when I was younger playing sport, and in great pain at the time, but able to walk without pain within a few days and continue playing within 2 - 3 weeks. It's unlikely he was able to walk off yesterday if he had done anything serious. Just a thought.

Perhaps you could replace him

An unwarranted flippant comment but if we are to be promoted this year we need someone of Turner / Reda ability in that role, either a replacement or maybe Turner can continue for us if we are lucky.
IMO the most important thing for us at the moment.

He's out for the season now pretty much. Was good to see him in a Cov shirt again and scoring a goal.

Selfishly we are short at the back with a strong centre back. Hope TM has something lined up for the Jan window

If he didn't before he'll certainly be looking now.

The silver lining for Big Ben is its being reported as the other ankle to the one he had reconstructive surgery on.

Anyone think mowbray will be lining Ben turner up next season with the release of Martin ? I'm 99% sure his contract is up this summer ?

Nope. He is a high earner and a championship club would definitely take a punt on him even though he's injury prone

Turner will want £5k a week minimum and more than a 1 year contract and gets plenty of injuries good player but a bit of a gamble for me

His contract is up this season but cant see him dropping down to league 1 and would demand a big wage.
also a very big gamble given his injury record.

High risk but high reward. Not sure Mowbray will go for that.

With Reda being released, I can't see TM signing Turner as it's just the same risk

But a much much better player to take the risk on

He's got two new ankles that are newer than a new born baby. He should be fine to play

id say he's more worth the risk than Reda

I hope we can get Stephens back, although with Boro in the Premiership next season, I can imagine them wanting him to play in the Championship to give him experience of the league for if they come straight back down.

Assuming everyone was happy with his recovery from injury I would love that to happen but would be very surprised. If we start making signings like that will be a real show of intent.

I loved having Tina back but he is almost as injury prone as Reda. It's a risk.

I think that getting a fully fit Bailey Cargill back from Bournemouth would be a good move - looked v good in the games he played here before injury

Turner would be a risk and perhaps too expensive but it were to happen I would be more than happy.
