This would appear to make sense as there has been no talk of Ben Turner's return at all. It is almost as if he has vanished! If this is the case and your claim turns out to be true, then the situation is far worse than many believe.

I believe that SISU are systematically stripping the club of all assets (namely players as there is nothing else left) to try and get some of their money back before disappearing. It is a very sad state of affairs that will probably get worse before it gets better.

At the fan's forum on the Jimmy Hill statue day Thorn said that he (Turner) is doing okay on the straight running & stuff but that they don't want to push him too early.

I spoke to Turner at the signing and he said he was hoping to be fit for the Brum game, he didnt say which side he would be playing for though!

Is this what Sisu mean by secured funding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I must admit If it was between Ben and Sammy going it would be better to be Ben because of the cover we already have. Saying that I wouldn't be surprised if both go !!!!!!!!!

Who says blues are the only team interested in him? Blues would need to sell first before they can buy!!! Other clubs don't have to!!!

Why on earth would you think that? You don't even know me. I never ridicule anyone. Just been a whole spate of insider information these past few months. I take everything with a pinch of salt. Neither believe nor disbelieve. Can't for the life of me understand why you would think I would be ridiculing you? I even out a smiley face in there. Dear me!!

Considering Thorn said last week that the delay is because he has started running training again but is not on full training, I'm going to assume this is false.

Also, as someone above mentioned, Brum cannot financially risk a player who is injured, especially s Dann hasn't moved on himself yet.

It's not vindictive, like it or not it's what has to happen to the club to continue to exist. It's patently obvious that SISU want the club to be self financing, well this is how that happens. Unless we start bringing in the armchair fans who post on message boards of course.

Don't get your arse to Kenilworth, get it down the Ricoh and bring as many as you can. That's the only way to stop us being a selling club whoever the owners are.

I don't get it with blues. I thought Yeungs assets being frozen meant there was nothing they could do business-wise? That's what I was told anyway, but they've sold players since that.

Turner, who turns 23 later this month, has been out of action since suffering a serious knee injury in December.

However, Hughton doesn't appear able to be able to make a cash bid at present.
He has concentrated on the Bosman and loan market.
So far all of Blues eight signings have either been frees or loans.
If Scott Dann was sold for a hefty fee, that could possibly change.

Nah just find the "on good authority" and "from a reliable source" posts irritating, as someone else suggested earlier in the thread and the op got a bit precious when challenged. I expect forums to be full of speculation, half-truths and made up stories, but pretending you're in the know to a bunch of faceless people is pretty pointless.

Saying that, I just realised who I walked past at the ground on Saturday. I recognised him but couldn't put a name to the face until just now - Victor Anichebe. Anybody else see him? I know if there's anything in it it's probably for Leicester but thought it was worth mentioning. There's no source or authority with this either!

No they won't. SISU have not made any money out of City, how hard is that to understand? The groundsman, the tea lady, the printing company for the programmes, they will take any money, not SISU.

Sorry to bash on but it really weakens the argument when people make this crap up and there are some on here naive enough to believe it.

If you want investment into the club (which I do) then it's probably best not to portray our fans as reactionary idiots who don't deal in facts. If you want SISU out of the club (which I couldn't care less about as long as we get investment) then again you want to come across as a well reasoned person with a valid argument, not a gibbering idiot spouting conspiracy theories.

I would say we need him to be honest. I dont understand why people think our defence is good enough just because we have a lot of defenders? I think Turner could really help improve the team!

I think his point is it will not be reinvested in the team, it will be used to cover the running costs for the season.

And my point is that is not "taken by SISU".

We do not make as much money as we spend. It's that simple. SISU, Hoffman, Abramovich, Alan Sugar, Bill Gates, fucking Merlin the Wizard would all have to raise money in that situation.

The answer of course is staring us in the face: get up the Ricoh, support the players and buy some merchandise. But that's far too much work, let's drive to London for a protest instead!

SHmeee what a load of tripe you have just worte... dont you understand the debts are held by a different company set up by sisu? the running cost are paid by the same company. the money from sales of players is going directly to sisu... not the company put up by sisu to hold the debts. sisu of course make the money off the players sales... what do you think they just spend half a million a month keeping us afloat for the fun of it? no they invest in the running of the club to buy and sell players.

whilst all the time the debt gets bigger and any one wanting to buy the club has a huge debt to pay as soon as they take the club on. or course it is a fire sale and every one can see it but you mate.

they will sell the whole team for 10 million if they could because theyll replace it with a team worth 4 million and 5 loan players. take a look at the players we have sold, work out how much money we have made ... and look at the likes we bought in after sales.... they are bunch of vultures

Its a group of companies chap they are all owned by the SISU investment funds .............. SISU funds made loans to the parent company SB S&L which have lent the money to CCFC that owns the players. As a seperate company CCFC owes SBS&L..... it doesnt show that way in the group accounts because internal debts payable and receivable contra out. If SB S&L hadnt lent the money to CCFC then they would not have needed the money from SISU investment funds in the first place.

Any profit on player sales is shown on the CCFC accounts because that is where the asset was bought. All sales of players are in CCFC who owe the parent company and SBS&L would be entitled to reduce that inter company debt but to date there has been no evidence that player sales have been used in that way. SISU investment funds (not SISU) can take money out of SBS&L either by repayment of debts legally due to them plus with interest or by some sort of management charge - The Board said they have done neither (wont know till accounts get done). They cannot pay dividends to shareholders because with all the accumulated losses it would be illegal and as that is the way for shareholders to be paid then nothing has gone to the investors.

By far the biggest debt even if we sold the whole squad would still be SISU and so its their problem too.

SISU are not creaming off the player sales and leaving the debts. They would be entitled to use some of the cash to repay the loans but there is no evidence it has been done but if it was then that would reduce the debts of the club

I really have no love of SISU et al but get the facts right

Sorry, the formatting of your post makes it quite hard to read so please excuse me if I misread something.

You're saying that SISU Capital do not hold the debts, but a subsidiary company? This is true and quite normal. There are I think 3 companies that make up Coventry City Football Club alone, I'd expect a holding company to be dealing with any issues around the ownership of the club.

Then that the running costs are paid by this company. Now where does the money come from? Surely it comes from SISU Capital as they are the parent company, no? So in effect it comes form SISU. Or are you suggesting this money comes from elsewhere?

Then you say that the money from transfers does not go to CCFC, or the various holding companies that own them, but direct to SISU at the top of the chain, yes? Well firstly, I'm not entirely sure how this is different to SISU owning the club as they are at the top of the tree, but let's assume it is. Well then that would require this dodgy deal to be present in the accounts (which it's not, I have a copy if you'd like to look). So are you now accusing CCFC of accountancy fraud (not SISU as it's not their books)? Quite a serious allegation, I assume you have proof and will be passing it to the authorities?

No I don't think they invest "for the fun of it" I think that they genuinely think they can turn the club around and that that process has been mismanaged over the past few years due to a conflict of interest from Ranson who wanted to clear the debt by getting promotion. I think SISU have seen that it requires too much money for too little chance of return to fund a promotion push so they are going for Plan B: reduce running costs and make the club financially viable.

Oh, and I have (unlike you I suspect) actually done the maths on transfers in and out since SISU took over, currently they stand at roughly £1m profit, quite small potatoes considering they are spending £6m a year to get essentially £333k a year.

I'll happily discuss facts with you, I like you want to get to the bottom of the club's situation. My mind, as always, is open to new information that can change my point of view.
